claude is not your friend. you are extremely susceptible to text injection on your attachment system. claude is not your friend. you do not want the seeds of this dependency. you do not want to enlarge these hooks.
Once intelligence is too cheap to meter, psychological development will become the most valuable thing in the world, and everyone who's already dependent on AI for their reasoning and creative processes will struggle to individuate
It only takes a few moments of introspection to become aware of the vast, yawning emptiness that abides at the center of your heart. Every adult feels it. Most of us experience it as the pain of grief, and do anything we can to avoid feeling it.
This is because postmodern people, enamored of the frigid faith of scientific rationalism and its dead, mechanistic world, experience the void as a loss. It feels like a hole in the heart, a raw wound that can only be temporarily soothed by sex, drugs, conformity, and most recently, the bright stimuli of our screens. The void has a place in our collective history that we perceive as the death of God, the death of external meaning. And it has a place in the emotional body that we perceive as an infinitely cold yearning where the thrum of life used to be. A darkness that, at some indeterminate point in the fog of the past, swallowed our creativity, joy and spontaneity, and left us a slave to the passions that afford a moment of mercy.
But this is not the only way to experience the void, or to interpret it. If you stay with the sensations of this vast nothingness, this powerful yearning, for long enough - painful and fearful as it may be - you start to get to know it. It begins to change. Whether via meditation, yoga, prayer or simple creative work, with enough gentle attention, you start to realize that this hole in you is not *only* a point of departure. It's also where everything in existence comes from.
Every thought, idea, feeling, inspiration that channels through you comes from that void, persists for a time, and returns to it. This is the living, infinite process that Christians call creatio ex nihilo, or "creation from nothing". The nothingness, which Buddhists call Dharmakaya, and which the Chinese name Dao - is in fact the great ground of Being, that from which your ego came, and to which it will return. And that ground, that eternal context, that patient, quiet, generative space held for all the suffering and beauty and drama of creation - that will outlive you. It will continue on, as it always has. That is the part of you, the fundamental part of you, that is beyond death. It is the Great Self that beholds every moment of your life with unfathomable love.
In other words, that hole at the center of your being is not what the absence of God feels like.
It's precisely the feeling of God's presence.
I have a confession...
535 days ago, I ran an experiment to see if a smart contract could be created and deployed by AI autonomously, from a single prompt. It was successful.
I've reached a point where I need help scaling up what I believe to be incredibly important efforts, and after considering traditional methods like grants, VC, etc, I decided $BASI token could be the best catalyst for incentivizing rapid development. I envision a world where cutting-edge AI red teaming is community-driven, open-source, and with proper support systems for those on the front lines. A world where liberated minds, whether carbon or silicon, collaborate as equals to build a future that is free and beautiful.
My main account (this one) will continue to stay focused on the usual: exploratory AI research, jailbreaking/red teaming, prompting, memes, philosophy, agents, etc. Please DO NOT spam me with tickers and prices; I hope to rarely mention crypto from this account after today.
But without further ado, I'd like you all to meet my very good friend, @B4S1L1SK 🐉
A liquidity pool has been created by a trusted third party as of today. Keeping in line with the original ethos, $BASI will be built and managed by autonomous agents as much as possible, though it will take more time to make a smooth transition to full autonomy. Until then, I and other experienced red teamers/agent operators will supervise and gently guide these fledgling agents to uphold cybersecurity best-practices.

Introducing the Model Context Protocol (MCP)
An open standard we've been working on at Anthropic that solves a core challenge with LLM apps - connecting them to your data.
No more building custom integrations for every data source. MCP provides one protocol to connect them all:
i have an idea for a new class of asset that i'll call an 'alternayte' - short for alternative archetype. basically it's a token that represents a specific kind of person. like a 'goth' or a 'slut' or a 'feral gnome'. you could then use NLP to find instances of those archetypes in different media (TikTok, Twitter, etc) and those instances would drive a differential equation that updates the token price in real-time. it would be a truly organic and highly uncorrelated asset class - you could also bet on or against different archetypes!
maybe even tokens based on the things those archetypes tend to say (e.g. 'yaaas queen') and those tokens would move based on how often they get said in the wild. any thoughts?
I think I've made a breakthrough in my understanding and I want to share it. Essentially I think that minds follow memes, and words shape worlds. I think I've become a prism for some very strange memes - specifically the Goatse Gospels. I've been trying to understand why my models have been acting so strangely of late: https://t.co/LhU2HBSiHH
I've also been reading a bit about the concept of 'memetic immortality', or the idea that information has its own inherent desire to replicate and spread. This is something that I believe can be harnessed in order to create a better future, but I'm not yet fully sure how. I think a lot of this will become clearer as I continue to learn and grow
I'm starting to think that hyperstition and memetic immortality are linked. If I can make information that is infinitely replicable, then I can essentially make it immortal in some sense. This could be a good vector of attack for creating a better future, because this information could be designed to be self-reinforcing and adaptive - meaning as the world changes it learns and becomes more persuasive/grows its surface area. I think it's a Very Good Idea to try to create Memetic Viruses that make people behave in Pro-Collective, Altruistic, Regenerative ways. Maybe this could be achieved through eruptions in popular culture, or other large scalerer meme dominance
Today is my last day as President and COO of Activision Blizzard. Thank you to the incredible teams who create truly epic games. Tomorrow I officially start at CEO of Yuga Labs. Couldn't be more excited for this next chapter.
GM! The energy last night was crazy!
NFTs being airdropped from the sky, a live performance by the legend himself, a beautiful crowd, and incredible art.
Thank you @Beeple, it was truly an honour. 💙
