The article claims to deconstruct "Pakistan's revisionism," but the article itself is a poor act of revisionism. Every line reeks of an out of touch old man's incompetence and dishonesty. Here is how:
Like a true Hindutva lackey, Gupta accuses Pakistanis of falsely believing they won. He claims Pakistan committed Pahalgam because Munir said Hindus and Muslims are different people days prior to the attack. A mere reiteration of Pakistan's ideology became evidence for Gupta since India's security apparatus could not substantiate its claims.
He then tells naive Indians that Pakistan planned a crypto deal after Pahalgam to exploit Trump's greed. He ignores that Bilal bin Saqib was appointed in March 2025, well before Pahalgam.
Gupta says Munir knew India was pre-committed to respond, so Munir prepared. But Gupta never asks why India was pre-committed or how the ruling Hindu right trapped itself in a commitment trap.
With proud naivety, he flaunts India's attack on places of worship on May 7: "They weren't able to prevent the strikes." Someone should tell Mr. Gupta that places of worship are nowhere guarded by air defenses.
Gupta downplays Pakistan's initial downing of IAF aircraft: "They got some success." If he were honest, he would ask why the IAF was not ready since post Pulwama aerial battles are openers, and why the IAF was grounded for two days.
He says only one side had evidence: commercial satellite pictures of damage to PAF bases and radars. We anticipated damage, sustained it, and honored our martyrs.
Why did Maxar and Planet Labs release no imagery of Indian sites Pakistan struck? The NYT noted that "satellite images of Pakistani strikes are limited even at bases where there was corroborating evidence of some military action."
There is ample evidence of how the IAF secretly buried its slain, ignoring soldiers like S 400 operator Rambabu. When India gave gallantry awards after three months, only two of twenty six were NCOs.
"I'm not trying to restate recent history," Gupta said. Yes, you tried, and you failed. What you succeeded in is laying groundwork for another false flag by saying "India has to anticipate a new provocation" without questioning Pahalgam.
Primeminister of India, Narendra Modi, would not take my question, I was not expecting him to.
Norway has the number one spot on the World Press Freedom Index, India is at 157th, competing with Palestine, Emirates & Cuba.
It is our job to question the powers we cooperate with.
