@leafarbuthnot I was at DLP at the weekend with family (2 disabled passes). My experience:
- DLP is great for access, but overly generous on Qs compared to Merlin (a fairer system)
- Real mix of nationalities in the Qs
- Some Qs (eg. Crush Coast) operate differently & still have long Qs
A new role brings together Music & Pastoral gifts with a package including housing & a chance to join a vibrant, growing church community
Applications close 24/4, we'd love to hear from you.

@samhailes I wouldn't have presented it like that, and it's not the most meaningful question, but the data says 5.8m people attended church in last year. Given that I think 2m went to a CofE church at Christmas, I don't find that particular question unbelievable.
The data may be flawed, but I could give data from our (fairly ordinary) church to prove all of the claims in the report.
- more young people
- more men
- more spiritual curiosity
- greater desire for discipleship
- more baptisms and bibles

Many of you have followed the news around 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘘𝘶𝘪𝘦𝘵 𝘙𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘭 report over the past year. Today, we want to share some disappointing news.
YouGov has informed us that the 2024 survey sample our report was based on was faulty. While this error does not mean all the findings were wrong, it does mean we can't stand behind them on the basis of this survey alone.
We’re deeply disappointed that YouGov has only recently identified this issue, especially after repeated assurances about the data’s reliability. We know many of you may feel discouraged too. YouGov has taken full responsibility and issued an apology.

@BijanOmrani £500k repair starts next week. Only managed to recover £4k before the scheme shut. Extra burden shouldered by parishioners... still I suppose Mauritius will make good use of the money 🙄
“Even though I go to church myself, I’m not that crazy about her.”
@GilesCoren can’t help but “cringe” when he sees the Archbishop of Canterbury Dame Sarah Mullally, who will be confirmed today, “go on and on” about “the love that we find in Jesus Christ."
@MartinSLewis Questions:
- Since LISA is dead, can we withdraw (or transfer) without penalty?
- Since one purpose of LISA is a retirement saving, akin to a pension, will they consider exempting from Universal Credit savings?
- Can 1st time buyer products be open to those in tied accommodation?
Recent Christmas day services for us have included dressing up as Paddington, Doctor Who, Angels, Shepherds, Donkeys and Spacemen...
We are fools for Christmas and on Christmas Day we celebrate joy in all its fullness!
But sure, you stick with your 50-min pseudo expositions.
Revd Charlie Skrine of All Souls Church Langham Place flies around as Superman, passing out candy and gifts to congregants during their Christmas service.
Notably, this is the same church that John Stott used to lead.
@NormanLeedsPhD @johnmilbank3 Yes super. But again, In Christ Alone is 23 years old. Older than many congregants. Has the Lord not gifted the church with songs/hymn writers in that time?
Sovereign Grace? CityAlight? Redman?
