غزوہ احد میں بھی مسلمانوں کو بھاری جانی نقصان اٹھانا پڑا تھا۔ ابوسفیان جاتے ہوئے کہہ گیا تھا کہ اس نے بدر کا بدلہ لے لیا۔ مسلمان زخموں سے چُور تھے، 70 سے زائد شہادتیں ہوچکی تھیں۔
لیکن پھر کیا ہوا؟
یہ وقت گزر گیا اور پھر وہ وقت آیا جب مکہ میں قریش کی ذلت اور رسوائی کا سامان ہوا۔ جب انہیں پیغام بھجوایا گیا کہ مقررہ وقت کے اندر اندر یا تو ہمارے تابع ہوجاؤ، یا پھر قتل ہونے کیلئے تیار رہو۔
جزیرہ نما عرب کے سب سے معتبر اور بااثر قبیلے کی اس سے زیادہ رسوائی اور ذلت ممکن نہ تھی لیکن چونکہ اللہ کا فیصلہ تھا، یہ ذلت ہو کر رہی۔
تحریک انصاف کو وقتی چوٹ پہنچی ہے، انہیں اندازہ نہ تھا کہ ریاستی قوت اپنے ہی شہریوں پر بے دریغ گولی بھی چلا سکتی ہے۔ اب یہ بھرم ختم ہو گیا۔
ہم پھر سے قوت حاصل کریں گے، ہم دوبارہ آئیں گے، ہم دوبارہ مجتمع ہوں گے، ہم دوبارہ تمہاری قوت للکاریں گے۔
اگلی دفعہ ہم ہی انشا اللہ فتحیاب ہوں گے، شکست تمہارا مقدر ہے!!!

Gen. Asim Munir & his Corps Commanders must keep in mind that after 1971, killing of Pakistani citizens, Generals were not tried & hanged because Pakistani people were confused about what happened in East Pakistan or later in Baluchistan!
Now Pakistanis, irrespective of their political affiliations, fully understand what Generals are doing for their Extensions & Farm Houses! Any killing of Pakistani citizens by these coward soldiers, being paraded, in Islamabad, will definitely result in the court martial and hanging of the Generals responsible. Whole world is watching! Gen. Sb, respectfully! You are only playing with words! to confuse people! Pakistan came into existence as a result of rapid political mobilization (1940-46) & through constitutional arguments & battles (1916-1946) fought inside a growing constitutional framework initiated by British imperialists after 1858, culminating in the Govt of India Act 1935. Pakistan Army had zero contribution to the creation of Pakistan. Army was an imperial structure kept politically isolated & away from politics and that’s why cantonments were often kept slightly away from towns but military garrisons were at the behest of Deputy Collectors (now called Deputy Commissioners) in case they needed to call troops to suppress a public mutiny against the imperial crown.
If you momentarily ignore Kashmir & 1971 Fall of Dacca when has India or another state challenged Pakistan’s existence? Yes! Afghanistan? But no credible challenge! Unlike Israel which was not accepted as a legitimate state by its immediate neighbors! And has fought repeated wars to win acceptance for its right to exist! When has another power, like India, refused accepting Pakistan’s right to exist as a state? Barring our own propaganda or paranoia off course, reality is that Indian Union reluctantly or happily signed on the creation of Pakistan - Congress actually rejected the loose federation proposed by Cabinet Mission Plan. We won our existence through a legal & political struggle.
Kashmir was a dispute, about possessing Kashmir or Kashmiris; it was not about existence of Pakistan - however we may define it on state controlled Pakistani channels. Did India attack us in 1947/48 or we sent tribals after mismanaging accession process? Did India started 1965 war or we sent NLI guerrillas into occupied J&K? 1971 was a tragedy we created, by not resolving political issues politically - as we are doing right now. We can fool people inside Pakistan but libraries across the world are full of independent research into Indo-Pakistani history. Tribals seized areas upto Srinagar in October 1947, Pakistan Army initially under English officers refused being deployed to help Pashtun tribals who had to withdraw once Indian Army started advancing, Pakistan Army once deployed was able to hold what became AJK; but I don’t think that we have been able to add a single mile into Azad Kashmir since then?
While it’s not possible to logically debate issues inside Pakistan (with a general or Moulvi Sb) and then stay alive, but Gen. Sb these claims of a “National Security State” being threatened by hostile enemies is not very convincing. What’s more easy to see is an army deeply involved & embedded in political process and political economy with serious share in real estate, construction, banking, consumer goods and weapon manufacturing; what then is the definition of a “Military Industrial Complex”? Or a Garrison state? In case of Israel the regular army is small & volunteers boost it when needed. It’s a citizen’s army & social and political structure is entirely different.
We don’t do these discussions because we can’t. We fear for our lives! While you may be learned & patient, many others may be thinking that I have crossed “Red Lines” - How many red lines are all around Pakistanis? I suspect that there are sufficient red lines to ensure that no one can think differently. All think inside a small defined circle ⭕️- Walter Lippmann had once said that where all think alike, no one thinks very much!
