This report explores the critical role of women in leadership, from decision-making to high-tech sectors, including AI innovations. It highlights the ongoing gender gaps and the urgent need to accelerate progress towards the G20 Brisbane Target, aiming to reduce gender disparities in labor market participation by 25% by 2025.

Key findings include:
- Women hold only 26% of seats in national parliaments globally.
- Female labor participation lags behind at 47%, compared to 72% for men.
- In the high-tech field, women make up just 30% of AI professionals, with even fewer in leadership roles.
- Female inventors in AI accounted for only 37% of patents filed in 2022-23.

These statistics underline a persistent imbalance that limits both individual and collective progress. The lack of gender diversity stifles innovation, reduces resilience, and prevents societies from fully capitalizing on their potential. Bridging these gaps through "gender-transformative policies" is not just an ethical imperative but a critical step toward a more equitable and innovative future.
