While I do acknowledge the concern and there is some underlying truth to these claims, its function is entirely misunderstood.

Although I've attempted to provide some relief posts that offer a broader perspective on crypto cycles that I would recommend you read if you haven't already 👉(https://t.co/2On2EOLCNw) & (https://t.co/GmXhYHoRdp), I've realized the only thing that will quell this fear is a deeper understanding of how things work 'behind the scenes'.

A lot of common industry terminology hinders the learning process IMO and so I'll stay away from that and keep things as relatable as possible. If I do this correctly, this should remain a long-time reference to use regardless of your personal preferences and/or goals.

So, before we can tackle manipulation, first we need to define a market and what it consists of. 👇

The Market 💹

For our purposes, simply see the market as a method to come to an always-evolving consensus on the value of an asset. This is seen as PA on the chart and participants use various methods to trade and gamble on what they believe is 'fair value'.

This is the game, and the driving force behind it all is money, often referred to as liquidity. 🪙 (For the remainder of this thread, I'll use this emoji when discussing liquidity to keep it simple. Money = Liquidity)

The Participants 👥

Most people usually say there are two types of 'money,' or participants, in a market: smart and dumb. In reality, there are five classes of investors. Realizing this is 🗝️ for understanding intricate price dynamics.

🔹 Dumb money: People with no regard for the inner workings of the market. No consideration for the different financial instruments in play, likely don't even know how to understand a chart. They'll usually buy via word of mouth, hold, hope number go up and, if not, capitulate quickly.

🔹 Retail: People who are aware but are unable. They know what they see but are incapable of navigating and analyzing resources to produce results. Usually move with the heard and believe their only way to make money is number go up.

🔹 Smart money: Traders who have a solid grasp of analyzing resources to find good risk-to-reward (RR) entries into the market but still tend to give a lot of money back. They realize the opportunity to make money is direction-neutral.

🔹 Elite: Traders who thoroughly understand market dynamics. Maximize RR and rarely give money back to the market. The best players before the game makers.

🔹 Power/Institutions: Organizations, or sometimes individuals, whose business it is to make money off the market. They have various legal and illegal methods to go about this.

▫️ Impact -- The lower 3 classes don't have the ability to move price in small numbers, they need to act en masse, unlike the Elites and Power. This is because it's their job to do so and they trade with huge positions against other entities doing the same, all trying to grab as much 🪙 out of the market everyday as possible.

**There are obviously caveats to this, as well as likely some overlap between groups. This is just a rough outline of the common types of money present and where it comes from, which will be important later.

My IRL friend text me to ask if $KAS was dead. I thanked him for the free indicator and reminded him of a convo we had a few months ago that I'll share with you now.

If my recent TA or the sheer fundamentals of whatever altcoin you prefer don't have you convinced yet that this isn't the time to capitulate, then this thread will.

The major theme for this current cycle has undoubtedly been, 'this time is different'. From the ETF to the left-translated cycle, this time would catch everyone off guard. Thing is, the same was said during previous cycles and just like it wasn't different then, it's not different now.

This thread will examine the dynamic between alts and $BTC directly before the start of the 2021 bull market.

I never lost faith in Kas, never even felt inclined to. It is still the best technology out there by a wide margin and we have all the receipts to prove that. There are some people for which that's not enough, and there's really nothing I can do about that.
