I’ve grown so much as a GC in the past year. Mainly with patience and staying calm in the chaos that can be construction. Today we had 12 pallets of stone, 48k lbs, shipped to our site. I managed ordering and all logistics. During offloading, we dropped a pallet on the road and our skid steer popped a tire. A year ago I would have panicked. Today, none of it stressed me out. We found quick solutions.

Bonus - the flatbed driver bitched about our turnaround but I told him to chill. I’ve been in much worse spots. I would have been so scared of the driver a year ago!
