The traffic situation in Bandra West’s Pali Naka has gone out of control.
Street vendors need to be regulated urgently. Pedestrians, motorists and the general public cannot be inconvenienced with a traffic grid lock, all the time.
What is @mybmcWardHW doing? Cant the police and the BMC jointly act? @CPMumbaiPolice@mybmc
The article well covered by @TOIIndiaNews@TOIMumbai states @mybmc@mybmcWardHW claims the reserved garden plot is given to a contractor only for “2 months.”
This is factually incorrect. It's been given for almost a year now and local residents too have been complaining since June 2025, August 2025 complaint enclosed). That makes it nearly 9 months of misuse of a designated public garden plot.
How does @mybmc@mybmcWardHW justify calling this “temporary”? Why such favours to "contractor" at the cost of open spaces !!
Citizens deserve transparency and accountability !!!

Citizens seeking clarity on maintenance of Carter Road Promenade. @mybmc@mybmcWardHW claim sweeping, gardening & watering are done by them. Yet a 13th February 2026 report in the Times of India quotes a private agency claiming it maintains the promenade and has spent Rs. 90 lakhs in one year.
If so under what agreement ? On what was Rs. 90 lakhs spent ? Citizens claim not seen any change in the upkeep or maintenance + paying annual fees to MMB.
Post 2021–22, booking charges are also being collected by @mybmc@mybmcWardHW along with Maharashtra Maritime Board @mahamaritime1
Citizens deserve transparency. Who is maintaining? Who is spending? Who is charging ? Clear answers, please....

Bandra shows what community spirit truly means...
On 14th February, residents came together at the iconic Carter Road Promenade for a peaceful “Jog & Talk” silent walk after a proposal to install 35 commercial LED hoardings threatened to commercialise one of Mumbai’s most loved public spaces.
During the gathering, I briefed citizens on the background of the issue and the current position as it stands. Municipal Councillors Karen D’Mello and Rahebar Raja Khan also stood in solidarity, addressing residents and emphasising the importance of safeguarding public spaces and preserving the unique character of Carter Road.
Following swift and united community opposition including a signature campaign the large hoarding installation was removed.
Residents continue to urge the @mybmc@mybmcWardHW and Maharashtra Maritime Board @mahamaritime1 to formally cancel the permissions granted and ensure that the promenade remains a community space free from commercialisation.

The proposed installation of 35 commercial LED boards/ hoardings sanctioned by @mybmc@mybmcWardHW@mahamaritime1 on Carter Road Promenade Bandra West will destroy the very character of this iconic 1.2 km public space built by citizens, for citizens.
Our promenade is not for commercialisation. It is a public, environmental and recreational asset that must be protected.
We continue to oppose this move and stand with residents to safeguard our Carter Road Promenade.
A petition opposing the same started and supported by concerned citizens...
Can you help me out by signing this petition?
