This is why port state measures are important, and traceability of catch. #tuna traceability is not a technical problem, it's a political and legislative challenge.
During this era of no travel we are BAU at @spc_cps. For the last 4 years we have set up a huge network of #fisheries data managers across the #Pacific that converse and work remotely daily. We can't do the big one-off trainings anymore, but our day to day work is unchanged.
