All it will do it reduce the price in metropolitan areas and potentially increase demand. Please explain why this is a good idea?

@billcrowder13 In Australia will still be wall to wall cotton for me as no other crop comes close returns cotton can make. Saying that if some valleys don’t get good rainfall next few months to fill dams total area will be way down on current crop.

@tomchesson01 @soupercocky No different in Qld Sunwater projected cost to build 5000ML off stream storage (dam/ringtank) $100m+. Have built several of similar size for less than $2m.

Yield data showing that we were able to add at least 5 bales/ha to yield based on average yield in early picked cotton. No extra N and one irrigation (+ 200mm rain) and 3 mths time.

Grown on (long season) cotton starting to look good with an extra 10-15 bolls/plant hoping it will help blend up the quality. Has definitely added a few extra bales to the yield.

@WheatWatcher According to this Mid East Fob prices down significantly more like A $127. Are farmers buying high priced urea from fear of missing out and that is supporting local prices without understanding global prices have plummeted??

@WheatWatcher Hearing that Brisbane prices currently are around $885 but was told they would be over $900 next week. Unless they bought boats on its high defies logic that price would be increasing considering for much of the two week period nothing probably traded.

@Cameron16649845 The crop had finished in Feb however due to rain started to set another top crop which we have allowed to mature. You risk the quality of the open lower bolls however they were already downgraded and hopefully we can blend the better quality top bolls to improve it and yield
