@elonmusk He's right about one thing --- they haven't done nearly enough. Very little modern innovation that is the foundation for the frontier of the next generation.
Rising tides raise all ships.
@buchmanster North Korea has stolen over $1.7 billion in crypto. South Korean media outlets spoke of how the country was looking to hold onto the stolen assets for the long run. The stolen funds have reportedly been used to fund its nuclear program and the development of ballistic missiles.
@buchmanster@youssef_amrani@grassEcon@ReSource_Fi@informalinc@reflexerfinance Appreciate the in-depth response. I'm pro UBI and minimizing human labor in monotonous roles automation can take over and expanding in the "critical worker" sectors. A lot of paid training activity too. However, working with traditional systems/institutions is paramount, imo.
@buchmanster@youssef_amrani I get how you are framing your perspective. In many industries those accounts are being provided. For example: farm to table supply chain tracking, diamond mining, ect. I would agree more transparency and reporting/labeling help, it enables people to use their purschasing power.
@youssef_amrani You know that joke about, "If you were to die tomorrow your employer would replace you in a day?"
Seems the same applies to highly esteemed DeFi products.
Instead of chasting the imperfect financial system, wish folks would focuss on improving it. A case for #CBDCs.
@buchmanster@youssef_amrani What is a bioregional unit of account? Could you describe what that is? I get the clearing part - especially in leverage and liquidation accross parties, whereever else it applies I'm sure there are examples but they would be contingent upon condidtions, ie. package delievered.
@buchmanster@DefiDrew@youssef_amrani@MonetSupply Look, local governments...they are essentially DAOs. Proposals to build infra put up to a vote, local tax revenues are fees to fund infa...new infra + servcies attracts people. Real estate values increase.
It's different names, not all that different. IPO - ICO
@jaekwon@jack_zampolin @NewMoney_web3 @ssaintleger @Wickex2 @dogemos@solana@Cryptocito@buchmanster@zmanian@billyrennekamp@hxrts Personally I think the potential for a zero-day exploit with CosmWasm is overblown. There could be some upstream alteration of the compilation, but as is - webassembly being used to ship native source doesn't have the caveats that come with OPCODES associated with EVM exploits.
