Where your message finds me

Sometimes I ask myself what the most important factor is when deciding whether to support a project.

Potential airdrop? Top-tier VC backing? Popularity? PMF? Gud tech? Gud tokenomics?

All of those points are valid and make sense in different circumstances. But for me, the team is the soul of any project. I care about their personalities, the way they treat people, and who they really are in person.

Hyperliquid wouldn’t have been the same without Jeff and the team.

As someone who has attended and hosted many crypto events, I’ve met all kinds of people. I’ve seen things that go against my values, and I’ve been insulted and betrayed by people I thought I could trust.

Some people are completely different from what they show on X, which honestly makes me wonder how fake people can be online. I’m not going to expose anyone in this post. What I did was simply stop supporting and interacting with those people. My point is: you never truly know who someone is until you meet them in person or actually work with them. Don’t trust everything you see online.

On the other hand, there are also amazing people I’ve been lucky enough to meet or work with, people who genuinely make me believe in whatever they decide to build next. If you’re looking for people or projects worth believing in, these are some of them:
- @kirbyongeo is one of the most humble and supportive friends I’ve ever met. He’s smart, hardworking, incredibly dedicated, extremely good at making things go viral, and so kind to everyone that sometimes I wish I could steal his mentality because I’m way too judgmental.
- @KORypto_JUN is probably the most caring person I’ve ever met in my life. I’ll never forget how he treated everyone around him, taking care of every single person he met, even on the first interaction. He’d spend his own time and energy showing people around and making sure everyone attending his events in Korea had a great experience. He’s well known in Korea for building the biggest HL community: HL Korea, and for being an OG user across almost every protocol and perp DEX.
- @ElNachoCrypto is one of the wisest traders I’ve ever met, someone who always managed to give me solutions during my most hopeless moments. He’s incredibly smart as a trader and wise as a senior. If you’re looking for a leading voice in the space, he might be the one. His Spaces, articles, advice, and stories genuinely helped me find light during some of my darkest hours.
- @0xRyzed tbh fuck all the fud around Hyperswap. Ryzed is a real one. He’s so honest, kind, calm, and willing to support everyone, no matter who they are, as long as they have good intentions.
- @Sychype ngl I’d feel cringe praising him this much, but he’s genuinely great at personal branding and growth marketing. One thing I really respect about him is that he never bullshits. One of the few people who’s actually his true self online.
- @andyhyfi, anyone who has met him in person knows how kind he is. He’ll spend hours supporting new builders in Hyperliquid without expecting anything in return. He’s always willing to share knowledge and help people.
- @GuthixHL is a real gentleman. He’s responsible, kind, and fair. What I respect most about Guthix is that he’s a man of action, he’d rather overdeliver than make false promises.
- @sirpickel if you’re looking for an OG degen/onchain expert who’s also warm-hearted and kind, he’s the one. I never expected to find a friend like him, someone I can openly talk to about trading, wins, and losses without ever feeling judged.
- @guru__hl i think it’s been almost 2 years since I first talked to Guru. After seeing all versions of his work and hearing all of his ideas and concerns, I can confidently say he’s one of the most talented devs I’ve ever known. He ships at light speed, way faster than I expect sometimes. I genuinely think https://t.co/NuRp6QpfN9 and Guru deserve much more support from the community. I’d vouch for him anytime.
- My intern @cliff_1502 - if you’re looking for a social intern, he’s your guy. I’ve been working with Cliff for almost 3 years, since he was still in university. I interviewed him, trained him, and worked with him across so many different things. He’s my best intern, my little brother and someone who I can trust the most.
- Last but not least, I couldn’t have made it this far without the support of my @hyperbuilder_hl partner @ronaparajit. If you’re looking for a BD plus a degen who can speak 5+ languages, has resources across multiple countries, is genuinely a people person, and can truly become your right hand, you know who to contact.
