@DGligoroski @hashbreaker I wish it was an April fools joke :-/ but the ProtectEU document links to a report from a High Level Group (on crypto backdoors) that presented just what the ProtectEU document says & gives the same timeline. HLG was mostly law enforcement, as you may imagine

EDRI is raising an alarm over the EC's plan to issue a technlolgy roadmap "lawful access to encrypted data" during Q2 this year. The same strategy document ProtectEU in other places pushes for privacy and for post-quantum cryptography.
