@SebAaltonen If I recall correctly not having a GPU on S60 devices and thus N-Gage was due to the big issues with the OS architecture. There was even phones released with actual GPU HW but no actual way of using it.
@matiasgoldberg@SebAaltonen Yep. The real question is that does it make any sense to support < $100 Android phones. Itโs quite obvious that these gamers wonโt use any money to games usually.
@divideconcept@skaven_ That โcrapโ was invented before C++ existed. C needed extensions and people in PPI created that, NextStep/Apple made it popular.
Also Swift is liked by many developers, Kotlin tries to get close to that Swift in many cases nicer.
@jrdmellow In this case if I have understood correctly, founders left company some time ago and current owner is reorganazing the company with heavy hand ๐
@jrdmellow Thereโs always ups and downs in business, you cannot grow without taking risks sadly and whole point of running business is to make money. But unheatlhy over-hiring is not wise either. Bad KPIs and meaningless growth comes from owners not mgmt usually.
@Speed3DP @TagessonTomas Actually itโs quite common in Finland and software business. You have flex hour bank, but you are not paid separately from overtime.
@SebAaltonen I actually like driving so itโs not a problem.Finding charging station is tricky and even people who live in North only use EV for city driving, if they actually need to travel they use their second car which is ICE. Different people with different needs, ICE SUV for me ๐
@SebAaltonen Done that as well as the driving 10h+ hours with one stop.Flight is not usually an option since car is needed in North. Most of the cabins locate few kilometers away from sport locations.Funny thing about night train + car transport, oneway tickets are 700-800โฌ in busy season ๐
@mikeev Most likely several bottlenecks eg. auth, match-making, database and sharding issues, load-balacing issues, bugs in client-side which cause/enables dossing etc. Edge cases that simple load test wonโt reveal
