Is Akash moving out of Cosmos?
Akash is an app chain and is currently running on its own L1. It's built using Cosmos SDK but does not run on Cosmos Hub. We will be deprecating our own chain and moving to a different one that can secure Akash.
We'll be evaluating chains that provide strong security, have a high-quality community, deep liquidity, and exciting growth. It could be within Cosmos or outside Cosmos but will be IBC compatible. This means you will continue using the same stack (Osmosis, Keplr, etc.).
We're carefully considering options, and the process will be very public where Akashians get to have a say, like with everything we do. I think it'll be great to discuss merits and tradeoffs in public, which will be a good contribution to the space.
In the coming weeks, we'll publish an RFP and invite foundations to participate.
Polymarket is launching its own token soon, which will serve as its oracle settlement token for disputes. It will be an EigenLayer-based service, so if you attempt to resolve something incorrectly, your stake will be slashed
