- South Gate is the No. 2 seed. Improvement from First seed in D2 last year and 0-10 2 seasons ago.
- Gardena (7) v Hamilton (10) looks to be game of the round.
- Van Nuys (13) gets a big push to D1 after being D3 finalist last year.
- 3 ⭐️ Elyjah Staples of Marquez (5) is the best player in D1, how far can he take Marquez.
- Westchester (9) v Franklin (8) looks to be most even matchup.
