@iSlimfit The new Prime Minister looks determined to win the communication battle and rightly so. In the age of Elon Musk’s misinformation machine and the billionaire media class, governments can’t afford to be passive. Farage & Aunty Kemi won’t have it as easy as they think.
@DoubleEph What an incredible story . I actually thought he was dead in the first wave of strike when the war began . Last person I’ll ever think will get groomed by Mossad ! Maddd oh
This is the best explanation I have read about the CBN new move on data localisation on fintechs and banks. I actually think this was long overdue anyway . The January deadline is a bit aggressive sha
The part that stood out most for me is the warning about the political backlash.
It is actually wild that one of the world’s biggest technology companies is openly acknowledging something many governments seem reluctant to confront.
Those who pray are aware of their own limitations; they do not kill or threaten with death. Instead, death enslaves those who have turned their backs on the living God, turning themselves and their own power into a mute, blind and deaf idol (Ps 115:4–8), to which they sacrifice every value, demanding that the whole world bend its knee. Enough of the idolatry of self and money! Enough of the display of power! Enough of war! True strength is shown in serving life. #Peace
Artemis II astronauts have traveled 252,756 miles from Earth, flown around the Moon, and observed the lunar surface like never before. Now, they’re coming home. 🌎
Watch the crew splash down on Friday, April 10, around 8:07pm ET (0007 UTC April 11). https://t.co/Ccsk5Z3HFS
A new milestone for humankind: The crew of Artemis II are now the farthest any human has ever travelled, reaching a maximum distance of 252,752 miles from Earth.
This surpasses the previous record set by Apollo 13 in 1970 by about 4,102 miles.
The Presidency of Nigeria X handle is being used to promote APC party, and that alone should tell you everything about where we are.
I understand that the operators behind the scenes may be void of basic decency and principles, but you could at least pretend to have some class.
To think the Nigerian government was hosted by the King last week and hailed as a landmark deal taking on debt to help revive the British steel industry under the guise of refurbishing our ports, yet not once did they press the British government to support the UN resolution.
@molarawood With David Lammy in the foreign office . Not even a word of this was also mentioned or pressed with the British government on the recent Nigeria administration visit to the UK . Shame
This end stage Afrobeats talk is lazy. Even worse coming from ppl who should know better. How R you blaming Nigerians? Since when was it the public's job to build pub sys or distro pipelines? You can’t be in the sys, benefit from it, and then blame the public for its failures.
@OsaGz Was this all a strategy by Jagaban to bring him into the fold as a media aide and then sponsor him to go on shows like to ridicule him? Because this was just a no-brainer to go head-to-head with a sound progressive Jorno like Mehdi.
I just had a brief chat about this with a family friend just a few minutes ago, and it’s wild opening X and seeing Jack has just laid off 4,000 families. It’s happening in real time… I like how he said we are using intelligence and removed the artificial in front lol wild times
we're making @blocks smaller today. here's my note to the company.
####
today we're making one of the hardest decisions in the history of our company: we're reducing our organization by nearly half, from over 10,000 people to just under 6,000. that means over 4,000 of you are being asked to leave or entering into consultation. i'll be straight about what's happening, why, and what it means for everyone.
first off, if you're one of the people affected, you'll receive your salary for 20 weeks + 1 week per year of tenure, equity vested through the end of may, 6 months of health care, your corporate devices, and $5,000 to put toward whatever you need to help you in this transition (if you’re outside the U.S. you’ll receive similar support but exact details are going to vary based on local requirements). i want you to know that before anything else. everyone will be notified today, whether you're being asked to leave, entering consultation, or asked to stay.
we're not making this decision because we're in trouble. our business is strong. gross profit continues to grow, we continue to serve more and more customers, and profitability is improving. but something has changed. we're already seeing that the intelligence tools we’re creating and using, paired with smaller and flatter teams, are enabling a new way of working which fundamentally changes what it means to build and run a company. and that's accelerating rapidly.
i had two options: cut gradually over months or years as this shift plays out, or be honest about where we are and act on it now. i chose the latter. repeated rounds of cuts are destructive to morale, to focus, and to the trust that customers and shareholders place in our ability to lead. i'd rather take a hard, clear action now and build from a position we believe in than manage a slow reduction of people toward the same outcome. a smaller company also gives us the space to grow our business the right way, on our own terms, instead of constantly reacting to market pressures.
a decision at this scale carries risk. but so does standing still. we've done a full review to determine the roles and people we require to reliably grow the business from here, and we've pressure-tested those decisions from multiple angles. i accept that we may have gotten some of them wrong, and we've built in flexibility to account for that, and do the right thing for our customers.
we're not going to just disappear people from slack and email and pretend they were never here. communication channels will stay open through thursday evening (pacific) so everyone can say goodbye properly, and share whatever you wish. i'll also be hosting a live video session to thank everyone at 3:35pm pacific. i know doing it this way might feel awkward. i'd rather it feel awkward and human than efficient and cold.
to those of you leaving…i’m grateful for you, and i’m sorry to put you through this. you built what this company is today. that's a fact that i'll honor forever. this decision is not a reflection of what you contributed. you will be a great contributor to any organization going forward.
to those staying…i made this decision, and i'll own it. what i'm asking of you is to build with me. we're going to build this company with intelligence at the core of everything we do. how we work, how we create, how we serve our customers. our customers will feel this shift too, and we're going to help them navigate it: towards a future where they can build their own features directly, composed of our capabilities and served through our interfaces. that's what i'm focused on now. expect a note from me tomorrow.

Introducing Perplexity Computer.
Computer unifies every current AI capability into one system.
It can research, design, code, deploy, and manage any project end-to-end.
Peter Steinberger is joining OpenAI to drive the next generation of personal agents. He is a genius with a lot of amazing ideas about the future of very smart agents interacting with each other to do very useful things for people. We expect this will quickly become core to our product offerings.
OpenClaw will live in a foundation as an open source project that OpenAI will continue to support. The future is going to be extremely multi-agent and it's important to us to support open source as part of that.
