UE 5.1 will ship with a ML Deformer framework to build custom models and a new model we call Neural Morph Model. This allows high quality deformations in real-time. Character below uses ~1 mb of ML memory and takes below 100 microsecs on CPU and 40 micros on GPU. #ue5#mldeformer
@cristiancanton You were one of the folks I saw in the conference center not wearing a mask. That’s your choice (as it was mine to attend) and surely we will all get COVID sooner or later. I’m not not judging your actions. I just don’t think it’s fair to imply CVPR was responsible.
Come and try your voice at our speech to tongue live demo at #cvpr2022. Every afternoon at the edge of the Expo hall. Limited @EpicGames swag available for the most creative examples!
I get a lot of reviews that say my work is not novel and I bet I'm not alone. It's always frustrating because I see novelty where the reviewer doesn't. Rather than rebut every critique, I've written a blog post to help reviewers think about novelty. https://t.co/UXLabOkYcn

@yisongyue Did the entropy of the universe increase? You’ll need a better research paper generating AI model to get a reasonable estimate though. Meeting the goals is too limiting for creative reuse of the data/benchmark. E.g. ImageNet -> VGG -> new loss functions and vision encoders.

A sneak peak at the virtual humans work going on here @EpicGames. All running in real-time in @UnrealEngine. It’s been a lot of fun bringing these #MetaHumans to life and we’re excited to see what you will create with them!

I needed a winter break mini-project to kick my C++ knowledge into something valid this century. @Peter_shirley’s Ray Tracing in One Weekend book was a really fun way to do that! Obligatory graduation render:
