Nick and I told Sophia that after 1 whole month of going poop on the potty, she could pick out a special prize at Target. She, of course, picked a new doll. The obsession is real.

While we were checking out, the cashier asked Sophia if she was going to a birthday party. We both gave her a blank stare. She then pointed to the doll and asked Sophia if she picked her out for a friend.

Sophia continued to stare blankly and I let the cashier know that she was a prize for Sophia being fully potty trained. The woman gave me a puzzled look and turned to Sophia and asked, “Are you sure this is the doll you want, honey?”

Sophia finally found her voice and said, “Yes, please!” The cashier replied, “But she doesn’t look like you. We have lots of other dolls that look more like you.”

I immediately became angry, but before I could say anything, Sophia responded with, “Yes, she does. She’s a doctor like I’m a doctor. And I’m a pretty girl and she’s a pretty girl. See her pretty hair? And see her stethoscope?” Thankfully the cashier decided to drop the issue and just answer, “Oh, that’s nice.”

This experience just confirmed my belief that we aren’t born with the idea that color matters. Skin comes in different colors just like hair and eyes and every shade is beautiful.

Think about this…you’re arrested. In the booking process you discuss with the judge that you have an upcoming job interview. The judge decides that since you have an upcoming interview that your trial won’t take place until after your interview.

This is what’s literally being discussed in Trump’s federal case!

Now from a hypothetical to a real situation. Many years ago, I had a young white male working for me. Good kid, great family but they were very poor. I got a call from his mom saying he wouldn’t be at work one day. The next day I tried to call him with no answer. His mom called me & said he’d been in jail for 4 days. His crime was he picked up his cousin who had a backpack full of drugs. They couldn’t afford bail or a lawyer so he sat in jail. I believed in this kid so I bailed him out & got him a lawyer. He was told not to leave the city. He didn’t have a passport but was told to surrender it. He was also told to not have any contact with his cousin, aunt or uncle. I put up a $10k bond. His case was thrown out. His public defender wanted him to plea for 5 years & a felony. Another employer would’ve fired him. He would’ve sat in jail for 5 years & destroyed his life for the crime of giving his cousin a ride.

Yesterday, DJT walked in a courtroom charged with espionage. He walked out a free man with zero restrictions. So a 22 year old kid who’s family couldn’t give $1k to a bondsman is a greater flight risk than a billionaire with his own plane! This system must be changed!

Better to be rich & guilty as hell than be poor an innocent!
