I think we as a society needs to introspect ourselves. We are too harsh, judgemental, we interfere a lot in others life, we moral police on everything, we act as judge and jury in others life. It is high time this kind of behaviour needs to stop. We as society need to evolve and give space to others. Let them breathe. It could have been happened to any of us. 💐💐

I’ve seen this ad a common practice in police, bureaucracy and even corporate. Whenever anyone senior comes, they occupy the chair behind the table. Or whichever is the ‘highest’ chair in the room.

However in Army, the chair comes with appointment and respect. Even if the Chief comes to a unit, he will NEVER sit in unit’s commanding officer’s chair.

A junior officer, an adjutant may not be present in his office or on leave. But no one, however senior in unit or otherwise, can come and sit in his chair unless he’s the officiating adjutant. Even then, some might place a chair next to the Adjutant’s chair and officiate from there.

The chair isn’t just a piece of furniture. It commands respect, authority and appointment. Let’s grant it its due.
