We celebrate that writing is a place where people of different backgrounds can come together around a common love for self expression through composition. But we are watching our writing communities crumble under the divisive ideology of critical theory/identity politics.
@ExploreEso If no one cares, why is anyone reporting that a professional athlete didn't wear it? The fact that it is being reported shows that you are wrong.
I have no issues with gay people. They can live their lives with the same rights I have. But I also would not wear Pride products. It is unnecessary and about forced compliance at this point. Not going along to get along.
Last night the Los Angeles Dodgers had their pride night as every player was wearing pride hats.
Blake Treinen was not wearing a pride hat when he entered the ballgame.
I won't tell people this. I consider it mostly to be a violation of the privacy of anyone I may or may not have been with. The only people I will tell are men who are actually in the running for being a potential romantic partner.
The worst thing to come out of bodycount discourse is a lot of women will just randomly tell you how many people they’ve slept with now
Totally unrequested volunteering of this information. I don’t want to know this, I would pay money to un-know it and I have to block you now
Guess the answer is yes.
Thank you one and all. This midwit indie author and rampant shitposter is humbled and appreciative that you think I’m interesting and/or entertaining enough to follow.
An easy way to get unstuck is to get up and take a walk.
We generate more creative ideas during and after walking outdoors—and even on a treadmill facing a blank wall.
Divergent thinking rarely happens when we're tethered to a desk. Moving our bodies frees our minds.
June Book Club on Alex's Book Circle on Rumble is 6.13 3PM MST on The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Read the book and ask to be on the live stream or mark your calendars to watch!
As someone who doesn't enjoy Star Wars much, I believe that TLJ was an insult to Star Wars and the very idea of the hero's journey. It wasn't for kids. It wasn't for adults. It was for Johnson's ego.
Calling TLJ “not real Star Wars” because it dared to challenge heroes and explore failure isn’t just gatekeeping, it’s missing the point George Lucas made for decades.
Movies for kids can still be for adults too.
My guess is if you hate The Last Jedi, you would have hated The Empire Strikes Back too (if social media had been around to tell you how you were supposed to react to it).

@seamonkey10 Speaking of hair requirements & MLB, I will always love that the Diamonbacks wanted to have no long hair/no facial hair as a rule until they had the chance at an awesome pitcher.
@MadamSavvy Again, this information just makes me feel like I'm doing well comparatively. They say that comparison is the thief of joy, but it isn't if you're doing better.
I've found human CSRs as robotic as AI. I once worked as a CSR. You're trained to not act as a human being at most companies. You have a script and you're not supposed to go off it. So I'm not surprised that this is one of the major industries being replaced with AI.

Well said, John Summers: "Studios spend billions chasing recognizable IP because they want built-in audiences. Then when a franchise actually has a built-in audience, suddenly that audience is treated like a problem to manage." #Stargate
@DaveJommerbell St. Patrick's day isn't really about the Irish for most people celebrating it. It's about an excuse to drink & pinch people. I've never heard of pasta night & I'm Italian American. Also gay people have all the same rights now. What exactly is the humanitarian effort in the US?
@SCHIZO_FREQ Proximity is a limiting factor that changes the scale of attraction. It's why dating apps are awful. There is no limiting factor at all according the how the brain works.
Imagine reading someone say that the Abrams movies were actually movies (compared to TLJ) and thinking that means they enjoyed them. I saw TFA in theater for free and still felt cheated, but it at least has a plot (which it stole from A New Hope).
They are cinematic cancer of the worst kind — designed for and only truly enjoyed by the absolute dumbest of the dumb.
Jar Jar Abrams is a dumb person who thinks he’s smart and assumes his audience is even dumber. Only someone below his intellectual level can watch these movies and actually think they’re proper films.
