A Bengaluru man's frustration turned into a protest that has sparked a bigger conversation across the country.
His pregnant wife was stuck in a traffic jam caused by a VIP convoy, prompting him to sit on the road in protest and question why ordinary citizens should face delays for the movement of a few.
The incident quickly went viral, reigniting a debate that many Indians have had for years. When someone is rushing to a hospital, an exam, work, or home, should public roads be brought to a standstill for VIP movement?
Interestingly, countries like Japan and Nepal have largely phased out widespread VIP roadblocks, focusing on security measures that minimise disruption to citizens.
Should India rethink its VIP convoy culture?

I don't want smart cities.
Please give me a clean, normal, walkable, less polluted, non-smart city where there are no cows on the roads and less garbage on the streets.
I am looking for a city where traffic offenders are penalised, and where people think twice before breaking laws.
Give me a city where it's safe for women to stroll around late in the night.
I will cherish a city where I can report a problem and expect a closure.
I don't want smart cities please 🙏
Am I expecting too much from a nation which aspires to be a global leader?

It is funny how so many people still believe that this lady decides on taxes, or keeping petrol prices high or not responding to the pain and cost of mindless compliance with zero resolution! Even educated Indians opt to delude themselves!
Rajdhani Express from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Bengaluru City was expected to depart at 9 pm yesterday. It left only at 530 am today. Seniors, Women, Pregnant and children spent the night on platform. Dear Railway Senior Officers, 🙏🙏, why do you punish us mercilessly when we trust you so much. Reason: Incoming Train was Late. How many more decades will you do this? Did you provide any information and comfort to your customers? Other parts of the world, if it’s late beyond 3 hours, it’s Refund and Free Ride. When will you Officers stop blaming and improve Affairs. @RailMinIndia@nr_forum@KARailway
