Been there done that. The problem I had was after printing a few interesting things, I ran out of ideas for something else to print that wasn't some stupid action figure or Japanese kitty. I generated hundreds of tool holder designs using Fusion and uploaded to Thingiverse. There were only four things I printed out of hundreds that served of much value and those were files provided by MIT from various dinosaur scans. There weren't that many so eventually I just sold the printer and everything that went with it.

@Roxy_Hoebee People, skepticism is a healthy thing. Try to use it whenever you read something that sounds a bit outlandish. It may still be true, but run it through your filter first. You'll be better off.

@openshutter21 You have learned a valuable lesson that all photographers undergo. The camera check you need to make before leaving the house wrt cards and battery (and proper lens) is something that will you will never again forget to do.

Ditto. On a similar note: For years, I was stupid enough to employ ATD's services. Can't count how many times I had to pay attention to the system to keep it working and to keep it from beeping because the battery was old, communication with the mother ship was interrupted, some sensor wasn't working, false alarms, the list goes on. It amounted to years of abuse to prevent what? Nothing. Burglars around here smash and grab, then run. No alarm will stop that. Besides, I had nothing worth stealing in terms of items one could carry easily. Three years ago I canceled ATD and have saved myself thousands at this point.

@JackDunc1 I get it at 6'1". The other day I had a neighbor who I do not know, knock on my door and when I answered it and stood at the doorway entrance, she backed way off and said I intimidated her. At my own door! All I did was open it and stand there.

@dmoonlives I tried Redditor once when I didn't know a thing about it but noticed it was referenced in quite a few places on the Internet. So I signed up, did a little reading and by lunchtime I left and never came back. That was like 20 years ago or something. It was always lame.

They should put in a replaceable wood plaque on the dash so people can carve their initials in it. You know they will want to leave their mark. Replace the plaque when it is full. But if the passengers don't have a pocketknife and use their marker pens on the upholstery then you need to look into seat covers, and door pane covers, and ceiling covers.
