Yall remember Kylin Hill? This brother was a major turning point in the flag's removal. In June 2020, #MississippiStateUniversity running back Kylin Hill tweeted: "Either change the flag or I won't be representing this State anymore & I meant that .. I'm tired".
Hill, a #Mississippi native and one of the top rushers in the #SEC at the time, issued this threat directly in response to #Governor Tate Reeves' initial hesitation to support a new flag design. His stance sparked a massive wave of support
Pressure on #Leadership: His tweet went viral and put immediate pressure on state legislators and #university officials to take a definitive stand.
Widespread Support: Other athletes and coaches—including those from #OleMiss—publicly backed him, as did the SEC and #NCAA.
Resulting Change: Lawmakers passed the bill to retire the old flag just days after Hill's ultimatum. Hill was later honored by his hometown for his role in the historic change.
While Hill stayed and played for a portion of the 2020 season, his threat is widely credited with accelerating the legislative process to remove the Confederate emblem.
With the dismantling of the black voting rights in the South Black athletes in the SEC could really redistribute the pain with over $470 million!!!
Just saying…
He's a Midshipman not a Cadet. He was representing the Naval Academy in the uniform they wear every day.
He will serve his time in the Active Reserves and will assist in recruiting and retention efforts.
You couldn't find a better recruiting effort than last night.
The reason all this G5 slander is happening is not because JMU and Tulane got in. It’s because the two most entitled, cry baby schools Notre Dame and Texas got left out.
Dear @FedEx
This is a very special story about a very special driver working for you who, based on the account below, helped save a kid and his mom.
I implore you @FedExHelp to do something special for this driver, to acknowledge what he did and to encourage others.
I can’t thank @Ricktheruler4 enough for making this happen from Japan.
We wanted to let our @NavyFB guys know someone believed in them.
Humbled to work with the Mids & TADs that helped put this together & keep raising the bar around here📈

@NavyFB is better than outsiders think.
High potential for an instant classic. And strong @HeismanTrophy moment potential for #11
