@NoelFB Unreal EULA says that if there is any change you don't agree with, you can keep your existing license with your existing engine version and keep using it. Obviously would be pretty annoying to be version locked, but using Unreal is way less of a risk this way.
If I could give every person one piece of professional advice, it would be: when asking someone to give you their time, lead with the actual question you want to ask in the most concise, polite manner you can, rather than a nothing-burger "Hi, are you free?" or anything similar.
@marafrass Not sure if you have updated the dialogue plugin to the latest version, but I did some work during the holidays which should make writing (and scripting) slightly less horrifying 😅 Check v15.

@AlexRoseGames I never even worked in AAA, but there was a bigger indie title where I joined a bit late. I could have added soft reset. I never thought about that😅 And it never came up.
On my own (way smaller) game I designed the save system to support that from day one without an issue.
@AlexRoseGames That was what I meant, sorry.
However now that I think about it a bit more I think the issue is that people don't think it is important enough to put the extra effort into it.
It is not an engineering problem we would not be able to solve, it is one nobody asked us to.
