Wrong mindset as a new taker in web3/crypto
Taking airdrop as a reliable source of income
Especially with no leverage like
- mentorship
- Network with connections
- valuable skills/knowledge
Thought it was merely a numbers game.
" I'll just start farming a lot of projects and in a few months one will surely pay every month "
😅
I used to have such a mindset, learnt the hard way.
After experiencing a collection of dust, change in META and effort spreading tin.
Moving forward, I've come to accept that there are more ways to make life-changing money.
- offer valuable skill
- invest in crypto
For example, Crypto investing, utilizing the crypto four-year cycle i.e buying low and selling high
This a route misunderstood by many and requires skills like
- Fundamental Analysis
- Onchain Analysis
- Technical Analysis
To find crypto projects with the conviction of potential ×3, ×5 and even over ×10
As well as patience and discipline to not fumble your portfolio in the few years required
Crypto investing requires income to DCA into your conviction projects
This is where having a valuable skill(s) comes in to generate income.
Could be
- Writing
- Design
- Tech-related
The journey through web3/crypto is more than just chasing airdrops or quick wins
@Eli5defi If I get you right, you're basically saying MegaEth is positioned to be a frontrunner of the potential 2T RWA market, due to its technological capability.
@Jeremybtc No one would want to be like Kev, but the problem now is knowing when not to act like Kev
That is knowing when to let the bag go
Kev might still make a come back though
@andrewmoh@SolvProtocol When deciding which projects/products will be here for the long run, you can never go wrong with selecting a real use case as a major deciding factor
@satyaXBT Airdrops come and go
Markets rise and fall
The right skills, imo, are one thing I've seen that can be beneficial come any META
I think I fancy research as it leads to a long-term goal, although I'm still trying to find my way around it.
