What was the highly successful project Hamzat handled as deputy governor over the last 7 years that makes him a "clear' choice for Lagos state? Education? Public housing? Public healthcare? Public infrastructure? Job creation? What exactly??
I would take it a step further: raise daughters to be interesting to themselves.
Encourage them to read widely, learn continuously, develop skills, pursue passions, and explore the world with curiosity. Those investments compound over a lifetime so they can build a life that feels meaningful, fulfilling, and uniquely their own.
@OmoGbajaBiamila This particular item ALONE, recurring over a 4 years term, should be sufficient to provide pipe borne water to at least 3 cities/towns in Lagos. And another 3 over a second 4 years.
Abi?
The facts are there.
So citizens ignorance isn't the problem.
Citizens stupidity is.
Typical. So typical of the APC. Once they lose the argument, they retreat into hate mongering, ethnic slurs, and divisive rhetoric.
The names are Gbadebo, Chinedu, Patrick RHODES-VIVOUR, Take your pick of any of the three and let's focus on the work you were entrusted to do.
Wahab, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but not only have you been the worst Commissioner for Environment this state has seen, you have also been one of the most irresponsible, unbecoming occupants of public office.
Again, you are not fit for public office.
As I told you in 2024, for the next couple of months try an DO YOUR DAMN JOB!!!
Ẹgbọn If you cant , you should resign.
Today.
Mr. Wahab,
Impact is felt, not explained in 1,578 words.
Your plastic policy has failed.
Your environmental policy, if one truly exists, has been ineffective.
Your waste management policy has been an unmitigated disaster.
The only area where you have consistently delivered is the demolition of the hard earned properties and livelihoods of ordinary citizens.
Not to mention your Bigotry and Gaslighting.
You have lost the moral authority to remain in office.
You should resign.
Today.
The primary reason kids shouldn’t even be posted online is that you don’t know what the rest of the internet is doing with their content.
There are countless reports, shows, panels, law cases etc highlighting why children are especially vulnerable.
How do you even teach stranger danger to a child that has “fans”?
Are you lot sick???
I blame poor government. The only reason this debate even exists is because we live in a country where individual rights are not taken seriously. In societies with stronger child-protection systems, schools would have clear policies around filming, posting and consent.
Maybe because a lot of my work revolves around children’s rights.
But as a parent, I know you may think you have the power to expose your children to social media, and can handle all that comes with it, but it’s never safe for the child in the long-term.
Also, children have rights that are independent of your own personal wishes❤️
The actual rule that NYSC ought to pass is permanently banning all their corpers from filming kids they’re entrusted with.
Any which way you dice it, it is unethical.
And idc that the parents gave permission either. It’s bloody unethical and terrible optics.
