Something I want to raise here is the contrast between exegesis vs eisegesis because it’s important to analyze propaganda and cognitive warfare activity.

Exegesis(To lead out of) is when you read and interpret text trying to understand the objective context and what the author meant. You draw the “true” meaning out of the content/text.

Eisegesis(to lead into) is when you inject things into the interpretation of the text. These terms are commonly used to describe how people read a bible. There are people who adhere to and orient around the original meaning of the text. Alternatively, there are people who read the same text and inject their own modern ideas, wishes, or traditions into their analysis or interpretation.

So much of modern propaganda follows the theme of eisegesis. The example below is a model example. Eisegesis doesn’t have to be a bad thing, it can actually be a positive thing. That being said, it’s being used by the adversaries of the West to inject directional ideas, sentiments, and biases into western discourse.
