@utdreport During appeal, no new evidence is allowed unless on re-trial. Time for further clarification has passed. Now, appeal are decided based on its merits and demerits. They had all the to call on their chief witnesses if they had one. Wish them what they deserve at this time.
We need to stop excusing the bad behaviour of our politicians and calling everything “politics.”
No.
It is not politics.
When you deliberately lie against another politician like Soludo is doing to Peter Obi, that is not “politics.”
It is bearing false witness.
When you deliberately misrepresent a policy that could benefit the country, work against it, and then years later come out to say:
“I was only playing politics.”
NO.
You deliberately put political interest above the interest of the country.
When you pay people to vote for you, disrupt elections, snatch ballot boxes or manipulate election results, that is not politics.
That is electoral malpractice.
That is undermining the people’s right to choose their leaders.
When you misappropriate public funds, that is not politics.
It is stealing.
When you abuse your office for personal gain, that is not politics.
It is corruption.
When you deliberately sabotage something that would benefit Nigerians simply because your political opponent might get credit for it, that is not politics.
That is putting personal ambition above the public interest.
I can go on and on.
There has to be a line between playing politics and engaging in conduct that is simply wrong, unlawful and punishable.
We have become so used to politicians doing terrible things that we have created this convenient umbrella called “politics” and thrown everything under it.
No o.
Politics is not a licence to lie.
It is not a licence to steal.
It is not a licence to rig elections.
It is not a licence to sabotage your own country.
It is not a licence to put your personal political interest above the welfare of millions of people.
Call bad behaviour what it is.
Because the moment we start excusing everything as “politics,” we make accountability almost impossible.

One of the reasons why have not been able to transfer the legacy from old generation to new generation is how we treat that business that made us.
I do not completly agree with some of his takes, but we have to take the good ones and leave the hubris.

@OlayinkuzO@AnambraNewMedia Why is Anambra debt profile rose only from $18M to $30M as at the time he left office? Just think for yourself. The target of these wicked politicians is to obfuscate the masses, keep them busy with trivialities while stealing whatever that's within their reach.
@OlayinkuzO@AnambraNewMedia Obi took no commercial loans but keyed the state to IDA facilities which are interest free for specific interventions. Soludo currently is using the same intervention facilities like the NEWMAP but said on record that he hasn't borrowed. They said he borrowed $127M,
Watch this Peter Obi's old video of 2017 and you will know why Anambra people love him very much. He was campaigning for Oseloka Obaze in Onitsha.
You can see how he always referenced Chris Ngige. I have observed that Obi would always mention the things Ngige did. Politics without bitterness.
He also stayed on issues and not name calling and not the type of campaigns we now see in Anambra state.
The most important one is that you can see how he campaigned with the works he did. He was mentioning the roads, the schools etc and the people were acknowledging all of them. This is why Obi will always say, if you want to know how I governed, let's go to Anambra and the people will be the judge.
We also encourage Tinubu to campaign with what he did and not promises and not the imaginary building of Lagos.
Anambra people love Obi because they know that he worked exceptionally well for them. He earned their love.
Nigeria will be OK ✌️
“As the CEO of Diamond Bank then, Peter Obi left $155 million. I can attest to that. He wanted to leave it in naira, but I advised him to leave it in dollars.”
— Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, once again confirming this morning that Peter Obi left about $155 million for Anambra State when he left office as governor.
@Sk_Molawale@egi_nupe@Ezenwamoke As daft as you are, and in hurry to post irrational innuendos, if you failed to read the attached files that clearly stated that the issue started with Mbadinuju's era, thus predates PO's regime, egbon, I can't help you. You are nothing but a political traducer. Run along.
@SaharaReporters Kindly have a good read of these documents. It's a fruitful plant that evil people through stones at. You can't stain the white of someo who is intentional in doing good.
PETER OBI DID NOT APPLY FOR OR DREW DOWN ANY USD$30MILLION EXTERNAL LOAN THROUGHOUT HIS 8 YEARS TENOR AS GOVERNOR OF ANAMBRA STATE...[MAR 17, 2006 TO MARCH 17, 2014]
According to the records at the DMO office, Anambra State's external debt profile as at March 31,2006 was approximately $18.87 million
The DMO records as at December 31, 2013 shows Anambra Debt Profile to be $30m
So, total of what PO actually drew down from the USD$123m multilateral funds was actually less than $10m
Peter Obi need to overhaul his media team and beef it up with very smart Development Economists and Investment Bankers
Some of these guys around him as his spokesperson are not that too vast on Financial and Economic Matters
Do your Research always...STUDY TO ALWAYS SHOW YOURSELF APPROVED

@apantakuss2@SheikhAnalo Stay on the issue, I don't have time for frivolity, only but 8 loans are attributed to PO, non is commercial loan, all are IDA loans; facts. With the best intentions that you know how IDA loans works and virtue of his positive balance sheet at hand-over. He took no loans.
@apantakuss2@SheikhAnalo If you don't know or fully understand the issue at stake, don't put bodi lest you sound hollow. Research on IDA concessionary loans and how it's being managed and get back. Mainwhile the information is all over the media as we speak. This is different from commercial loans.
@Muyal68@FinPlanKaluAja1@shextian I think understanding the issues is the real challenge. I will encourage you to read more. I would have helped but I can't do better than he had done already.
@tonitlc@shextian@FinPlanKaluAja1 States that FG gives are those that have perculiar issues like erosion. The total amount was drawn in batches, he can only repay the amount he received. PO paid up for the amount that was given to him. The rest of the amount should be accounted for by his predecessor.
@apantakuss2@SheikhAnalo None of these is a commercial loan by PO's administration. They are all IDA conceesonary loans credited to the Federal Govt. for her subnationals for specific interventions. You can use grok or Google Ai for more information. Much ado over nothing.
