🏆 Referee announced for 2026 #SuperCup!
We're pleased to share that Somali referee Omar Artan will officiate the highly anticipated match between PSG and Aston Villa in Salzburg.
If Africa's top referee is inadmissible in America, who qualifies? Many are calling it racism.
Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan was denied entry into the US "due to vetting concerns" even though he had a 3-month multiple entry visa and was traveling on a diplomatic passport
Wemby's game isn't even fully formed yet and he's already one of the most impressive and impactful basketball players we've ever seen. It's gonna be fun watching him play for hopefully a long time
Oloruntoba Ettu has drawn attention after completing his medical journey at the Olabisi Onabanjo University with an outstanding record, starting with 8 As and 1 B in WAEC and a 347 UTME score, and finishing 8 years later with distinctions in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Internal Medicine, a progression that highlights the level of consistency required to excel in one of the most demanding courses. 🎓🩺
#YorubaGreatness
The FIRST and BEST to ever walk this path.
32 sets, no one has touched this.
Record broken!!
Standard raised!!
Even schools that answer First and Best will have to adjust their crown.😉
OOU just produced a unicorn.
The GOAT talk is now evidence-based. 🐐😅
Toba is a very great guy.
He’s so knowledgeable that I’ve always felt he was meant to be at @NASA or working on spaceship missions. Not only did we finish from the same secondary school, TASUESS in Ijebu-Ode (same school as @AYOKUNLE_MD), but we also represented the best state medical school at different levels, while I was in my finals. We emerged as the second-best medical school in Africa out of 37 medical universities in 2022 (even @the_beardedsina thinks we were the best in the tournament).
Toba’s answers were things I had never heard of before. Some of his remarkable responses in quiz competitions included Time Magazine’s Person of the 20th Century (Albert Einstein) and the full name of Isaac Newton’s Principia (Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica).
It didn’t stop at basic science but extended to complex medical knowledge. His understanding of concepts is unrivalled. At times, it honestly feels like he belongs in the league of minds like Einstein or Hippocrates, rare thinkers of another era.
For context, I finished in 2022 with six distinctions, which was a record for my school, following Chromo (Dr. Alabi Olugbenga)'s footsteps, so I understand what excellence looks like. Every record is meant to be broken, and I’m so pleased you surpassed this milestone. Toba has my highest recommendation, and I believe this should go beyond the College of Health Sciences and should be the best result in @oou_agoiwoye.
I’m calling on the state governor @DapoAbiodunCON to please recognize and celebrate this outstanding achievement and give it the attention it truly deserves, and on the president @officialABAT to also acknowledge and honor this level of excellence.
I can’t argue with consistency (Secondary school grades, WASSCE, JAMB, and now Medical School). When someone shows up, delivers, and keeps raising the bar over and over again, you just have to respect it. It speaks for itself. His efforts should not go unnoticed.
Greater height, brother, this is the least you'll ever be.
Distinctions in 7 out of 10 courses. The best result in all 32 sets of medical doctors that have graduated since the inception of Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences, Olabisi Onabanjo University.
It was one hell of a ride!
8 years ago, I began this journey to become a doctor, after 8As and 1B in my WASSCE and a score of 347 in my UTME.
The journey is finally over, with distinctions in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Internal Medicine.
