the ocarina of time remake was partly made by young devs who never played the original and honestly that's the only way anyone would agree to rebuild the water temple. you need someone with no trauma
Zelda series Producer Eiji Aonuma says some of the younger members of his team have never played the original Ocarina of Time, so they brought a freshness to the creative mix for the remake!
"It's thanks to these young people, by thinking about how to adapt the game in the best possible way, how to make it fun once you have the controls in your hands, that this remake came into being,"

@CyberSpartanII halo 3 had the better finale i'll give you that. but halo 2 made you play as the guy you were supposed to hate and nobody was ready for that in 2004
the second game in a series is almost always the peak and i'm tired of pretending otherwise. halo 2. mass effect 2. assassin's creed 2. uncharted 2. by game three the studio has a bigger budget, a bigger map, and absolutely no idea what made people care in the first place. and before anyone types dark souls 3 at me, you get one exception, choose carefully
gta 6 cops will remember your outfit, your face covering, your car, your weapon, and whether cctv caught you. gta 5 cops forgot you existed if you hid behind a dumpster for eight seconds. three weeks until launch and my entire criminal career is already over
Police in GTA 6 will be able to track this information after you commit a crime:
• Physical description
• Clothes & face coverings
• Whether you were working alone or together
• Whether CCTV captured you
• What weapon you were carrying
• What car you were driving

this is the first thing peter molyneux has said in years that i fully believe. the man once promised you could plant an acorn in fable and watch it grow into a tree. now he's finally describing something that actually exists
Peter Molyneux says the games industry is basically pretending it doesn’t use AI.
“We, as the industry, are pretending we’re not using AI,” he said, arguing that it’s now “almost impossible to code” without AI assistance.
He claims devs can often avoid Steam’s AI disclosure by simply not ticking the AI box, despite using AI tools for coding.
Molyneux also believes AI could become one of the biggest creative advances for studios once the industry moves beyond low-quality “AI slop.”
VRChat on October 28 published the results of its community survey on generative AI, along with its next steps, in a post titled "Where we're landing on AI in VRChat." The company says 21,595 people completed the survey in a week and that it also held one-on-one creator interviews. It cautions that figures are weighted toward its player base and that some groups answered in smaller numbers, so their results are less certain.
VRChat says 95% of respondents want some kind of AI label, but agreement ends there: across eight example categories, answers produced 3,141 different combinations, and none was chosen by more than 10%. Only 33% said they would deliberately avoid an "AI-assisted" world, and 37% of written responses said AI as a tool is fine if a person does the creative work. Misleading-thumbnail rules drew 81% "very useful."
The decisions: VRChat says it will not add an "AI-generated" label or AI filters, citing the risk of inaccurate self-labeling, harassment of creators wrongly suspected of using AI, and filters that get set once and forgotten. Misleading thumbnails are now against the rules, with an SDK reminder coming. Likes and dislikes on worlds are targeted for the end of 2026, otherwise early 2027, and multi-image galleries for the first half of 2027. A "Human-authored" mark and a "Tools used" field are under consideration but not scheduled, with an update promised before the end of Q1 2027. VRChat says all dates are estimates.
Creators replying argued that a 95% preference for labels was set aside, that filters are meant to be set once, that a "Human-authored" mark is too vague, and that ratings could be used for review bombing of AI worlds. Others replied that fake thumbnails are a creator problem rather than a tool problem, that AI-assisted code could earn the same label as fully generated worlds, and welcomed the discovery changes.
Unresolved: what "Human-authored" would mean, how misleading thumbnails can be policed without automated detection, which VRChat itself calls a challenge, and how ratings will be protected from gaming. The post gives no figure for support of filters specifically.
Next: the ratings rollout, the SDK update, and the Q1 2027 update on the proposed marks.

sega just revealed house of the dead: reawakened, a two player vr arcade shooter where the cabinet is literally a little gothic mansion. some fans are already complaining it's basically scarlet dawn in vr. respectfully, nobody in history has played house of the dead for the plot. you strap on a headset forty strangers have sweated into, scream at zombies next to your cousin for six minutes, feed it way too many tokens and walk out happy. that's the product. that's always been the product.
talking tom just won mobile game update of the year at the gamingonphone awards. over genshin impact. over honkai star rail. those games ship entire new regions and voice acted storylines. talking tom repeats what you say in a squeaky voice. and won. every group project has a talking tom. does nothing new, repeats what everyone else said in a funny voice, gets the A
there's a video going around of a tiny monkey lying in bed holding a phone with both hands, just doomscrolling, and it hit a million views in 14 hours. people keep captioning it "me after work" like it's a joke. that's not a joke, that's a documentary. millions of years of evolution, opposable thumbs, and the first thing both species agreed to do with them was refresh the feed. honestly the monkey is just being more honest about it than the rest of us
