@kaveh1000@cshperspectives Oh absolutely. It's a weird cycle, I'm not sure how many scientists would read a well written clear article and dislike it, yet the pressure is towards creating more of the type of content they don't themselves want. https://t.co/bGYK6lx8IF is/was a journal with good writing.
@kaveh1000@cshperspectives Perhaps a point for journals to pick up, with the expectation you go to them with good underlying work and notes and they help you get to a high quality written paper. I wonder if during review this would be easier? You review the science and provide feedback before the paper.
@kaveh1000@cshperspectives Also there should be good training on how to do this, writing simply and clearly is *hard*. And/or encourage more use of professional services / specific roles for this. Bringing in a technical writer for example.
@damengchen@dvassallo Could a filter be something like "post proof of a charitable donation"? You wouldn't even really need to check them as the effort of faking one is probably enough to cut out a lot.
@franknorman@BBCBreakfast@TVNaga01 The video was recorded inside a box which let no information out. Until the video was played, it both supported and cancelled HS2. The act of watching it collapsed the wavefunction (called the political spectrum).
@StuartJRitchie I can see and hear things like they are actually there. When reading a book, if it's good, it will be like being there and I am no longer really seeing the book. Some people cannot picture things in their mind at all.
@matsonj@JohannesVink Yeah what actions are you going to take within 15 minutes? What actions cost much if delayed by 15 minutes? That could be helped dramatically by other process improvements.
@mkoivuka @ESYudkowsky@ylecun There's no iteration inside the model. You can just build a layer on top though, or if you don't want to do that, tell it that it should follow steps like this. Not what you want for all problems though, not everything is a question or puzzle. v quick example:
@johngreen@nicholeeze1 Not unusual to be elsewhere on the spectrum of this, the other one that surprises people is about hearing voices - for some it's a full internal monologue or sets of conversations, others just concepts. Then there's the fun of synaesthesia.
@warandpeass It's easier to look at and judge than a roc curve but also as much as these things are often shit it's insane how far they've come. You'll see whatever is closest to your field though, generating code to replace/augment coders is a huge area now.
