I once tried to give blood but found out (@ the clinic!) my blood is banned bc I'm gay. Trudeau promised to end the homophobic #BloodBan in 2015. Queer Cdns want to help save lives in this blood shortage, but the gov’t still treats us like a disease.

@Pana_Gonia @lgl_tndr @CanadianGreens This is not hyperbole. I have been married and monogamous for 6 years and I can't give blood because men having sex with men is considered "high risk sex." HIV rates are on the decline in gay and bisexual men, and on the rise in heterosexual women. This is blatant discrimination.
