The future of Downtown San Francisco just got a huge boost from the Biden Administration.

Thanks to advocacy from our Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, the federal government announced a new investment of $3.4 billion in the Portal, our transit center, to bring Caltrain — and eventually High Speed Rail — into the heart of our Downtown. With plans for 11 transit systems within and around the center, this investment isn’t just a commitment to the future of transportation in our city, region, and state, it’s a commitment to a thriving future for San Francisco. It’s a sign of what we can do when we work together and think big about what’s possible.

The future of San Francisco and California is High Speed Rail, and the Portal in our Downtown is where that future will live.
