@RichardWellings@158m00c 80? Ha! No chance.
Had an absolutely flat out run Euston-Stafford a couple of years back. Checked my record of it. Greens all the way - that took 73 minutes 46 seconds. No amount of "will" can break the laws of physics.
@flowergirl_lon@MatthewMarks42@TrirideOfficial Yes, to use the service you must either:
A) Have a bike
B) Be accompanying a child cyclist or an adult cyclist who needs support.

@flowergirl_lon@MatthewMarks42@TrirideOfficial In this case, if I've understood the route correctly, there is only one boarding point and one alighting point. Wheelchair users waiting to board get priority. If no wheelchair users, then the space is available for bikes.
No risk of a bus arriving already full of bikes.
I’ve just had a message from the Retired Railway Officers Society that Gordon Pettitt has passed away on the 31st March. He was 90.
Simply devastating news.
🌟 Big news! From April 1st, concessionary bus pass holders can travel for free all day! 🚍
📽️ Mayor Dr @NikJohnsonCA shares more on this exciting update!

London’s Supersewer is finished and with it the beginning of the end of a golden era of tunnelling in the capital. Crossrail, Electricity tunnels, Supersewer, Silvertown all bored. HS2 to Euston the only one left to be finished. Crossrail 2?? Bakerloo extension? Need ££
@BoobyVoobeck@greatestgather@railway200 I had similar problem - if you go to See Tickets website, find Option to "Retrieve Tickets" and put in your e-mail address, all your tickets should be there and you can down load them (Greatest Gathering: You may wish to put out a general post about this as lots having this prob)
@drstevebagley @AlstomUK@railway200 I got an e-mail, but having ordered a Family ticket (" Adults+2 Children), only 2 x Child tickets were attached.
This is just shambolic.
As #StormÉowyn moved into the Republic of Ireland earlier, a wind gust of 114mph was recorded at Mace Head in Galway - a new all time wind record for the country.
After this record wind gust the station stopped reporting due to damage to the recording equipment.
@Arrivabus7@GarethDennis Can't find it online, but Thameslink/Great Northern have posters/maps on stations detailing alternative bus/train routes in event of disruption (some more attractive than others, of course!)
@PieterdeLeeuw5@seatsixtyone A train in between the two would definitely be useful; my guess it is just awkward to find a use for the trainset either before or after compared to the early/late trains where there is "useful" time for another trip either before or after.
@seatsixtyone Unless I've done something really wrong somewhere, it *looks like* Interrail Global passes no longer give Free Passage on Superfast ferries between Italy and Greece? It's a 30% discount instead:
@callumLtfc@Cryptic_Giraffe@philatrail Thameslink is only level boarding where the centre section of the platforms have been modified in the core between St Pancras and Blackfriars (that aligns with where the doors for the wheelchair spaces stop).
😍 Have you seen the commemorative rail coin?
The £2 coin marks this year’s 200th anniversary of the modern railway, inspired by the opening of the Stockton and Darlington Railway in 1825:
