OTTO Motors has partnered with @BostonDynamics to coordinate #mobilerobots in the warehouse!
In this demo, Boston Dynamics’s logistics robot, Handle, can be seen picking boxes and building pallets on top of OTTO AMRs in a distribution center testbed: https://t.co/3YwpyIxZkJ
I’m really touched to read folks’ thoughts on the Baxter & Sawyer research robots. It was a great pleasure to serve the academic robotics community these last four years
@arita_dias In depth Expanded Universe conversation partners are few and far between! ‘Twas really fun. My brief Europe adventure has already come to an end. Lemme know next time you’re in Boston & we can discuss more JavaScript/Robots/Star Wars
Katherine Kuchenbecker gives *incredible* talks. She was my professor, so I’ve heard my fair share, and learned a ton in the process. Wish I could have been there for this one. Well done Katherine! @GRASPlab#maxplanck https://t.co/xDcundZYJb
@chapulinaBR@GazeboSim Just yesterday I was looking for a method or mechanism to toggle a light source in Gazebo - Sawyer’s hand camera has an optional flash which I would love to model. Thanks for this!
@TomPJacobs @RethinkRobotics For sure! Sawyer Simulator brings up its own ROS master (along with Gazebo), so you will not need to be connected to the real robot to test your algorithms 🤖 I’ll post an announcement once its out of Beta next month and Open Sourced
@tinkernick @RethinkRobotics That’s due to the Sawyer Simulator repo being private at the moment during the beta period. Expect a full open source release of the repo (and announcement) sometime next month.
