I love going to charity events and meeting new people while supporting groups and organizations in achieving their fundraising goals! Redskins fan #HTTR
I was at an ATM once “after hours” & the machine kept my card/did not give it back!! I was afraid to leave thinking it would spit it out in 30 minutes for the next person that showed-up! Found out machine has safe spot to store like 5-6 cards! (But I Still had to get a new card)
I withdrew $300 from an ATM.
The machine made all the right noises…
…but never gave me the cash.
It still debited my account.
I stood there staring at the screen, convinced my day was ruined.
Then the guy behind me tapped my shoulder.
“Don’t leave yet.”
I went to the store the other day and my purchases were $25.00 - I had a $50 bill so I figured, might as well break it now. Youngster put my items in a bag and gave me $50 change in 5’s & 10’s & said “thank you, come again”, LOL! I thought, I will be back tomorrow, LOL!!!!!!!!!
Basic financial literacy in this country is almost nonexistent. We don’t teach it in schools. It should be the second most important topic, just after literacy. People don’t understand mortgages, interest rates, compound interest, it’s bonkers this isn’t standard for all schools.
Data centers pay for every watt of energy they use. They’re also funding new energy projects and paying to upgrade Virginia’s electrical grid to make it more reliable. Get the facts.
We are from DC area…were in Vegas last Summer & it was TOO EXPENSIVE!! Better value close to home (we have gambling, great restaurants, great entertainment, mountains, ocean, golf, etc…etc…)
Vegas is hurting
Revenues are down across the board
Media revenue is down
Real estate is down
Almost every industry is getting crushed
I keep meeting people explaining how their industry is dying right now
Normal downswing or something bigger?
Lots of High School boys that play football & baseball can also play soccer (even basketball players if they aren’t too tall, LOL!) - most High School boys that play soccer would not get much playing time on the football/baseball/basketball team !!
Here’s how soccer actually works in the US.. kids 4 years old or so play it until they’re old enough to play baseball or football and nobody thinks about it again.
The boys who play soccer in highschool aren’t looked at in the same way as the kids who play football/baseball/basketball.

I wonder how many of those 42 million were like me and will not watch another soccer game for prob at least SEVERAL years? I have like at least (15) friends & relatives that are in the same situation. We just can’t wait until “REAL FOOTBALL” starts, LOL!!!
42 million people watched the US-Belgium game on Fox — 30 million — and Telemundo — 12 million. Staggering number — that’s more people than have ever watched a college football, NBA, MLB or NHL game in history. Only the NFL playoffs can beat it this century.
And I will prob watch 50+ NFL Playoff games in the next 4 years and 0 soccer games, LOL! That U.S. soccer game was horrible to watch. All of that time/$/training to score 1 goal! 2+ hours of my life that I will never get back!!
Compared to the $9.99 Dunkin Donuts Iced Tea at my hotel the $19.99 all you can eat breakfast was pretty much a “No-Brainer!!”, LOL!!!!! -most things were definitely “OVER-PRICED”
No more cheap AYCE brunch at Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen + Bar at the Linq.
After raising the price, the lines went away.
One less place on the Las Vegas Strip for a cheap all you can eat breakfast.
Marriott is quietly hoping you never learn how their loyalty program actually works.
I did.
There's $1,800/year in free upgrades, free nights, and hidden rate codes sitting inside the same Bonvoy account most guests use for nothing except checking in.
One woman sent a single email before her stay. Marriott upgraded her to a $3,000 suite. For free.
Most guests book on Expedia, check in, check out, and never touch the 9 features Marriott buries behind the login screen.
Here's the full playbook 🧵
Some things are up for debate. This isn’t one of them. 😏
