Would like to not have to say this every election, because there should be an adequate number of polling places to serve voters in every county. Ideally, there should be universal vote by mail so you wouldn’t have to wait in line at all.

I’ve seen a staggering number of posts in my social media sphere like “why are you so upset about ‘black lives matter’ when you understand [insert specific thing mattering in broader context]” and I just?? It’s racism, Jan!!! They’re upset bc they’re racist!!

Upcoming special and local elections in California will include a vote-by-mail ballot sent to every registered voter in the district where the election is held. The same can and should be done in all upcoming elections nationwide to keep voters safe and preserve our democracy.

Honestly cannot stress enough that if you are able to register to vote by mail for November YOU SHOULD DO IT. You get secure paper ballots, and also can vote in the comfort of your home whilst drinking a White Claw which is a GREAT deal in these cursed times #gotv
