In the name of Allah.
Shaykh Al-Albāni's book on the Prophet's prayer was the first book I read that was compiled on Salafi principles. As I grew up in a Hanafi household, it was eye opening to find a book that did not approach the topic of salah in light of a particular madhhab; it was quite literally life changing.
Then, by Allah's mercy, I was introduced to Sh Bin Bāz and Sh al-'Uthaymīn. I remember telelinks with Muqbil. In 1999, I heard about Sh Badī-ud-dīn.
Our earliest years in Salafiyyah, we learned that proofs from the Qurān and Sunnah, as understood by the Sahaba, was the foundation of our religion. We were encouraged to learn and follow the proofs.
Do not encourage people to be blind followers. Do not encourage them to follow opinions that either oppose or are not based on proofs.
There is no doubt that there are occasions where a person must place their trust in trustworthy scholars, follow their opinions because of their own disability to decipher the truth, but as Shaykh Al-Albāni says, be knowledgeable of what you need in the religion. As Sh Badī says, we are not encouraged to be blind followers; we are encouraged to be learned men of knlwledge. As Sh Muqbil says, follow the scholars as long as their opinions are based on proof. As Bin Bāz says, do not blindly follow Abu Hanifa or Malik or Shafi'ī.
Encourage people to learn. Dont encourage people to blindly follow.
Remembering our sins and shortcomings prevents us from becoming self-amazed by our deeds. It also protects us in-shā-Allāh from looking down upon those who have been tried with sins, thinking ourselves to be better than them. Rather, it moves us to make du'ā that Allāh guides them to that which He loves and is pleased with, and other benefits:
A million people watching you sin...

💎 Words of Wisdom
Shaykh Rabi' ibn Hadī said:
We don't say: Close your eyes and (blindly) trot behind us.
Rather, we say: Study with understanding, intellect, and insight. And couple that with truthfulness and sincerity.
Al-Majmū Ar-Rā'iq pg. 215

Idle Talk, Gossip, Backbiting, Tale-carrying, Disparaging the People, Declaring Them Sinful, Making Tabdee’ of Them and Takfeer Without Right.
The Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Al-‘Allāmah, Sālih Al-Fawzān (Allāh preserve him) said:
“And beware of those who fish in murky waters—because they extract speech from you and spread it amongst the people—then your speech is carried upon other than its intended meaning, and the speaker is made to say that which he did not say.
Especially since there are devices that record your speech while you are unaware—for he conceals it while accompanying the one whom he wishes to cause to slip.”

Be more grateful for what you have. Thankfulness brings an increase of good & ingratitude strips away blessings. Don't forget to praise Allah and thank the people He placed in your life—parents, spouses, children, friends, teachers—who have stood by you and showed you love.
