@Misdrex@uncledoomer that’s crazy!!! what!!! time was an illusion after surgery icl but I was in recovery to fully wake up with a nurse monitoring vitals. once I was stable they took me to a ward. I had to eat/drink/pee before I could leave, so I wasn’t discharged for 3h after surgery iirc
@WilliamReload@QuasLacrimas indeed I had the wrong ideas, which I only learned as such once I became a parent, it was things I had to experience to realise xyz didn’t work that way so it was silly as me to advise as if it did 🙇🏻♀️ I’m curious why you view childless people as giving better parenting advice?
@WilliamReload@QuasLacrimas I mean sure, I can get that view, but ‘childless give better parenting advice’? I’m not one who says childless ppls advice/opinions on parenting should be discarded, but I had plenty of thoughts + advice that I realise were dumb now I am a parent 🫠
@Inzignificant@cjnieI I feel the need to clarify because I think it went over some heads. this is sarcasm. the fact you can’t turn it off is hot dogshit!
@Inzignificant@cjnieI icl I used to be a hardcore apple fan and will ride out my current iphone but yeah pretty much. for always blasting about the camera it’s kinda hot garbage and hdr frequently ruins pictures, especially anything low light, even if you shoot w exposure down
@BriefcaseMike it feels like they do it to 'save money' but the run around and wasting time of so many services, and then ending up in A&E, surely costs more ?? idk, it's in shambles lol
@BriefcaseMike atp it seems they just divert whenever they can without reason, even w postpartum care. had an issue, called GP, nope, call your health visitor. HV says call GP. now it's late, no appts. ended up in A&E with a newborn, all I needed was abx 🙃
I know it’s very British, but we can’t keep having moral panics about computers every time we don’t want to admit we’ve torn the social contract to shreds
Why, we cry, are they at home! There are abundant Saturday jobs, graduate schemes, and home ownership is but a skip away!
@drruthannharpur@CynicalTimbo@Conviction19c it's supply and demand, esp in the early days. skipping a feed, or several, can tank supply
although I think the NHS fails you regardless of your feeding, BF or formula. I had the opposite where they pushed formula & had 0 interest in helping me BF
