@n1ck_da_quick Yeah will be interesting to see how he adjust to the NBA level with better players who can punish the defense but tbh he’s so good I think he’s better off finding ways to score rather than try to playmake for others consistently.
@n1ck_da_quick I disagree but even then, the tangible power plays are caused by others decision making. The defense wants him to not have the ball in his hands and give it up and he’s doing that. Theres no possession control from a playmaking standpoint. Which is ok cuz he’s no PG.
@n1ck_da_quick In this vid, u can notice he’s having moments where he’s able to read the defense quick, but most of the time he can’t turn the corner or quickly recognize the double. He started improving the speed of reads in SL but this has been a common theme for years
@n1ck_da_quick Someone with his scoring ability is bound to gather aggressive coverages. Usually against those , the BITW either still keep the dribble alive long enough to find the open man OR they attack the defenders , through splitting or blowing by the second defender. DP does neither.
@n1ck_da_quick More scoring oriented. His court mapping and manipulation just lack behind also. When u watch the tape u see the pick and roll and assume he’s great but it’s really spamming PnR and trying passing to the roller ASAP.
Genuinely not moved by this team. Guard play is horrible and they still lack a great second shot creator ( Sengun isn’t the answer ). They have great players but the overall makeup of the team makes no sense.
Don’t the Pistons NEED to sign him so he doesn’t take the QO and they don’t lose him for nothing ? I’m confused by reports this seems pretty normal behaviour for now.
Drafting Peterson and then prioritizing Keynote George over Walker Kessler is insanity to me.
JJJ (27) and Lauri (29) are both ready to go, and you spend money on a player who has shown no signs of being able to contribute to any winning basketball.
Ty Jerome (could have been acquired via trade by moving George)
Peterson
Lauri
JJJ
Kessler
Would be a top-4 team in the West this year, I don’t think Jazz make it to top-6 with George and without Kessler. Such a fumble.
@bannedroomE I don’t believe that because he’s okay at multiple things , it makes him better than others. Not an A+ athlete , not a great influence on boards and stocks , mid FTR , etc. He’s the definition of the idea of a player is better than the actual player
@patelsahil2002@n1ck_da_quick He’s actually not as bad if u put him at the 2 tbh. Would have some type of impact on Dreb + I don’t think he’s as bad of a defender as people make him seem ( s/o @rjanalytics7002 for the graph) . And not as worried as far as 3PR if he’s going to shoot near 50 from mid and 70 atr
@patelsahil2002@n1ck_da_quick But yeah don’t know why I said Booz tbh I don’t think he’s a better BH 😭 just think he has more ways to influence the game than DP
@patelsahil2002@n1ck_da_quick I think AJ really is the one thought. Ability to eat late shot clock possessions and still be efficient , one of the best transition players last season , imo the best inside the arc scorer we have seen , while still being close to 80% from the line if we account for HS + NCAA
