@rms80 the models definitely have buggy senses of 3d rotations. i suspect they are confused by data showing different handedness and windings coming from different systems
nice to see my game rise to #2 most played yesterday for #vibejam. if you like Descent and Thief, try the stealth route: shoot out the lights and sneak through rooms to avoid the security bots https://t.co/wIFSP6zxu3
#threejs
thanks for trying it!
these are 2 of like 12 side projects i'm playing around with right now separate from my actual job. it's more like infinityx because they wouldn't exist without vibecoding.
i agree with you about the point jon is making. i also think we are still early, and most of this is exploring what is/is not possible right now. i don't think there are many 100x examples so far... but it's fun to try to push the limit :)
it was a fun challenge to add Thief-like stealth mechanics to a Descent game for #vibejam
you can destroy lights to evade enemies in the dark, so a normal light bake won't work. after a few attempts, i ended up with a bake per light for the level and light probes for player brightness. this also works when doors open and close
levels in the game are procedurally generated, so all of this gets set up at the beginning of each level #threejs
