@aleabitoreddit@aleabitoreddit How about $AMKR being punished for delivering FY2028 numbers 2 years ahead of schedule but sandbagging guidance to reallocate low margin manufacturing to Vietnam while freeing up Korean resources for higher margin HBM packaging in 2027? Thoughts?
@Sandeman52 The question is whether any single individual should possess this type of power in a “free market” economy. More importantly, one really needs to examine the rampant corruption and insider trading taking place as a result of these actions.
@Sandeman52 In all honesty, these individuals are not wrong. There are many bad signs in the economy, especially when you consider that the Top 10% is responsible for 80% of consumer spending.
That being said, very few people understood and anticipated the significant impact hog #AI.
@TheLongInvest 30% is only on Fentanyl. 10% for everything else.
The Chinese won this "round" of trade talks by using their leverage to bring tariffs down to parity.
@TheShortBear Do you believe him? Don’t you think that Xi or anyone else from China would say anything if talks were progressing?
Sounds like Trump is talking to himself.
@mcuban Mark,
If I'm China, I'd put an "Export Tax/Tariff" of 47% on consumer electronics (e.g. smartphones, computers, CPUs/GPUs, memory, etc.) shipped to U.S. until the Trump administration removes Import Tariffs on ALL Chinese products entering US (145% --> 0%). Problem solved.
@MarcoKotteman@gtconway3d Food for thought. If I'm China, I'd put an "Export Tax" or "Export Tariff" of 47% on consumer electronics (e.g. smartphones, computers, CPUs/GPUs, memory, etc.) until the Trump administration removed its Import Tariffs on ALL Chinese products entering the US (145% - 0%).

@StockJabber@winsteadscap You missed BurgerFi in your analysis. Compare BurgerFi to Leslie’s and you will see why you should always SHORT anything L Catterton is invested in. If you want to know why, send us a DM.
@TheLongInvest $CELH Interesting question. On one hand, Alani Nu acquisition is interesting and timely given that the Q4 ER is very poor (except for +240bp gross margin). That being said, if Alani Nu was founded in 2018 and amassed a $1.8 billion valuation in 7 years, does $CELH have a moat?
@marcuslemonis Marcus, the numbers have spoken and many investors (including us) benefited significantly from $CWH in 2020. However, any "little guy" who bought in 2018 & 2019 lost money because of hedge funds who shorted $CWH. The issue here is that $CWH stock was always trading #freemarket
@coiledspringcap Great commentary & agree on setup. At this point, the best way to play $VTIQ is through the warrants $VTIQW, which have been trading at a significant discount to the common (anywhere from $6/share to $10/share discount). The warrants also require less up-front cash outlay.
@CliffordSosin Cliff, your assumptions work in businesses that utilize highly skilled & highly specialized employees. However, for the vast majority of companies, this is opportunity for MGMT to weed out dead weight, automate, & run leaner. Expect slow recovery & 15%+ unemployment through Dec.
