@iamtexture If you do takeout lunch and dinner so like 28+28 per day that is 20k a year and compounded and invested every year for 40 years is like 4 million inflation adjusted so an entire retirement fund. Just from saving 56 bucks a day for your whole career will retire you.
@Bonecondor@justalexoki It isn't eat less it is to eat different things. If you self ban certain types of food and only eat high quality low calorie density whole foods like humans did hundreds of years ago then you can eat as much as you want whenever you are hungry and will not gain weight
@DellAnnaLuca Or bet black because if black is actually higher than 49% then the game might actually have positive expected value if there is a skew. Probably hard to estimate skew so difficult to size a Kelly bet
@joe_shipman How do you plan to manage after you lost the weight? At some point 1500 becomes the matainance weight and you need to stick to it. I have found that focusing on calorie density of foods works better than focusing on a calorie target for a sustainable solution.
@NonMeek@DouadyPrimers 5 dollars a week compounded for 40 years is like 15k-40k. Not a life changing amount of money for 40 years of delayed gratification. If they do happen to win it would be life changing (often for the worst unfortunately)
@DellAnnaLuca@joshjordand With the artificial construction of the question being focused on the edges like toddlers pressing randomly. How does a 1 month old hit a button at all. What if you never press a button are you immune? What about the blind or deaf? How do we know the rules of the button? Nonsense
@DellAnnaLuca Many got through traditional college not knowing much before but it does seem like the amount of people graduating and not knowing much is increasing. Also many who self learn don't even need college.
@DellAnnaLuca Grade inflation and online evaluation means that many courses are too easy and can be cheated. The duration cost can be spread to each course so it can cost roughly the same even if you took all 4 years of courses in a year. So there is a grater concern than just dollars.
@cmuratori Windows has only ever gotten better right... All the old ways were worse and now we have all these new ways of making better software so obviously it is better...
