Started my financial independence journey late but will still reach fi in 10 years only with my super power of a high savings rate against an average income.
M6-1.0 x 12mm pan head is the correct screw needed for a Toyota license plate frame. The internet is going to say 20mm, but it's wrong. And don't get zinc no matter how hard it is to find stainless steel.
I bought a car this weekend. Due to lack of telework and a situation in my household that required an additional vehicle to get everyone around at the same time. I really wanted a @Tesla. I didn't buy a Tesla. The three reasons why.
1. Cost: The price has come down, but it's still ~$10k over the cost of an internal combustion car. The insurance would cost me an additional ~$1200 a year. Yes, the energy would have been cheaper and more convenient in most scenarios.
2. Repairability: The insurance costs seem to be directly related to limited number of qualified shops. This mean I need to take my car 45 minutes away from my house for repair. I'll acknowledge that it most likely will require less maintenance, but still.
3. Quality: I still think they have QA issues. Why don't the panels align from the factory? Why do the interface controls feel so cheap? I feel like you pay a luxury car price for low-end import quality.
Full self driving almost sucked me in. I still don't understand why some company doesn't take their best selling car and just make it electric. All the incumbents make some ugly futuristic thing instead of just making their popular car go ~300 miles on batteries.
I'll be afraid of AI when it can fix the bug in @YouTube when you click on a short, it skips to the next one, and half the time it goes back to the one you want to watch.
