Notice how eerily quiet Nigerians have been? That’s because it’s a Yoruba dominated area. Once the demolition affects Igbo areas, Nigerians will suddenly realize there is “Igbophobia.” The narrative will shift to “they hate us,” bloggers will immediately spot injustice, and Nigerians will quickly acknowledge tribalism at play.

Everyone is quiet now. No one is claiming “Yorubaphobia,” no one is shouting tribalism, no one is speaking up for them. No news channel is reporting on their behalf, no bloggers are highlighting injustice. Even that Fayose guy with frog eyes who often appears on camera to discuss Igbophobia has gone quiet.
