Always good to see negative trials published. RGDP with ibrutinib no better (in terms of overall response) and more toxic (more bacterial & fungal infns) compared with RGDP in rr DLBCL. #lymsm

Vaccinated cancer pts had higher risk of breakthrough COVID-19 infection & poor outcomes incl. hospitalization & death, compared to controls without cancer, especially for those w/hematologic cancer or on active chemo. Third vaccine dose reduced this risk. https://t.co/0lkndhX4mp
I'm thrilled and thankful for the support from #Royal_College for this project! My goal is to make learning environments more just & equitable for trainees at a structural level, which will hopefully contribute downstream to better patient care

Treat everyone like all of the above are true. Be the compassion we all need right now. THAT is productive.
Happy to share our study aggregating COVID19 vaccine response in heme cancer. Thank you @abivije@MattCheungMD@LisaHicksMD and Stephen Betschel! Bottom line: lymphoid cancers, esp recent anti-CD20 Tx dramatically lower response

IMO we have reached the point in Ontario when pub hlth cannot meaningfully contact trace all positive cases - due to testing delays and overwhelming numbers. But that doesn't mean contact tracing has to stop. It's time to empower each other.
