COO @ Deel Payments (US) | Ex co-founder @ Arival Bank and Sreda VC | Writing about fintech regulation, stablecoins, banking & AI in finance and corporate ops
For years, everyone expected stablecoins to disrupt Visa.
Instead, Visa is becoming the infrastructure behind them.
The conversation has shifted from:
“Will stablecoins be adopted?”
to
“Who will power their adoption?”
The winners won’t defend the old financial system.
They’ll rebuild it.

Stripe just bid $53 billion for PayPal.
That's not just a payments deal. That's a fintech/stablecoin consolidation and future infrastructure play.
Stripe has Bridge. Stripe has Tempo blockchain. Stripe has the Agentic Commerce Suite.
PayPal has PYUSD, 400M users, and global merchant rails.
Together? The most complete stablecoin-to-consumer payment stack ever assembled.
And PayPal hasn't even said yes yet.
The biggest AI opportunity may no longer be AI.
It’s vertical software. Accounting just showed what comes next.
$552M went into AI accounting startups in H1 2026.
Not one company. An entire ecosystem:
• Platforms
• Agents
• Audit
• Tax
• Document automation
• AI-native CPA firms
We’re moving from AI assistants to AI industries.
Legal, compliance, treasury, payroll and banking are next.
The first AI wave built models. The second AI wave is rebuilding industries.
Remember when fintechs wanted to disrupt banks?
Now they’re becoming them.
Circle officially joins the growing list of fintech and digital asset firms with an OCC banking/trust charter.
I expect at least 5 more approvals by end of 2026.
The next phase of fintech isn’t building around banks.
It’s becoming one.
Last time I posted on X, Bitcoin was $6,000, crypto was a niche field for nerds, and AI wasn't in every second tweet.
A lot has changed😄
My excuse: built a crypto bank, got a US bank charter, joined Deel, now building global regulated payment infrastructure.
Back now. Going to post about fintech regulation, payments infrastructure, stablecoins, and AI in finance.
Bear with me while I figure out how this app works again. 👋
