Methanol is a high hydrogen low carbon portable fuel that shows promise for high energy density, low carbon emissions, carbon sequestration and recycling and can be implemented using current infrastructure.

It's a "good" solution and I'm reminded of the axiom "the enemy of good is perfection". Mainly because perfection doesn't exist.
