The quote at the end of [THE INVERT] teasing Trilogy II was from Dante's Purgatorio (Purgatory) from his poem Divina Commedia (Divine Comedy), so we can assume that it goes like:

Trilogy I: Inferno (Hell)
Trilogy II: Purgatorio (Purgatory)
Trilogy III: Paradiso (Paradise / Heaven)

Divine Comedy based itself on the view of the afterlife according to Catholic beliefs. Purgatory is the "final purification" that dead souls go through before they enter heaven.
